Healing assignments?

3 posts in this topic

Hey!

I just wondered if you experienced raiders doing healing assignments on your encounters.

Are you assign a healer to tanks and other healers are healing different groups of the raid? Or are your healers healing everyone on demand?

Any information is appreciated.

Thank you!

Cheers,

Frost

Well, I'm not sure if it's a general raiders work.

Normally it's more of a RL or healing coordinator work, I would say.

I can tell you what I personally is doing as a healing coordinator of our raid team.

Normally before we start progressing on a new boss, I'm going with my RL through the tactic and decide whether it needs special attention and changes in'standard' healing.

The assignments are more for boss mechanics rather than for groups or tanks.

There are fights where I write in advance assignments for raid CD chaining or target healing duty.

Sometimes I ask guys to change a talent or glyph for a specific encounter.

It might happen that I’ll call  for a raid CD if something goes terribly wrong even if it wasn't in assignments.

Well, if you need some example, that's what I wrote before HC Mar'goc (I will delete our raiders names and put their classes instead). We are using gather and AOE all the small adds tactic here:

Shadow Priest:
- Glyph of Vampiric Embrace
- DPS boss with Vampiric Embraceduring small add killing

Rogues:
Smoke bomb on small adds AoE starting from RL saying “AoE adds”
Rogue 1 -> Rogue 2

Disc Priest:
- 100% shields up on tanks and hunters that handle Branded
- double shields for tank with mark of chaos from phase 3
- double shields for hunters from phase 3
- shielding the raid with Power Infusion before Force Novas
- PW: Barrier when RL says “AoE adds”

Holy Paladin:
- Devo Aura on Force Novas
- healing with Avenger Wrath on triple Force Nova
- Hand of Sacrifice on warrior-tank with Mark of Chaos from phase 3

Resto Shaman:
- CDs on first transition phase
- CDs on triple Force Nova (8 sec between casts)
- Spirit Link totem on small adds AoE together with Tranq

Resto Druids:
- sort by yourself who will cast first Tranq and first Stampeding Roar
- swap Lifebloom between hunters with Branded
- cast Stampeding Roar on the knocking back Force Novas. On the Triple Nova sort the cast order between yourself and feral druid. The pause between casts is 8 sec - enough to use a Roar for every Nova.
We have the first small adds wave between 4th and 5th minute and the second wave between 9th and 10th.
- use Tranq as a mana saving ability at first minute, so it will be back around 4:20. One of you will cast first Tranq when the raid will be low from killing accidental adds.
On this graph you can see what I mean - time from 8:10 until 8:50: (here was the graph)

The second Tranq should be casted about 5 sec after RL says “AoE adds”.

Same for the second wave of small adds.

For all healers:
- Immediate DISPELS of Slow debuff.
- try to come with 80%+ of mana to the 7th minute of fight.
- Do not drink channeling pot before 6th min. Announce in Vent when you are drinking.

It can be less complicated too, for example on Brackenspore I'll ask Holy Paladin to spec into Hand of Purity and prioritize tanks, resto shaman to heal the mushrooms, resto druid to stay on raid and pay attention to blue mushroom while we are not using it. On Infesting Spores cast all the healers will turn around and heal the green mushroom.

Or, it can be just 'standard' heal what you think is right like on Kargath.

Hope it helps smile.png

If you'll have further questions, you are welcome to ask.

I'm sure you're wondering what the heck our name means?  Fáinní na Darach is gaelic irish for Rings of the Oak.  No, we're not Irish; in fact, our membership has a vast span ethnicity, we just thought it was a cool name that really captures our experience and mindset.  We're not in a rush (oak trees don't grow overnight) and we're not fickle.
The officer core has been raiding since before World of Warcraft was released, and we have been raiding through each expansion.  As you can imagine, we are older (most in our 30s), we have families, and we have priorities.  That said, we don't try to put the game before real life, but with that comes the responsibility of when it's time to raid, then it's time to raid.  Our raid schedule is pretty flexible, but we typically stick to Fri/Sun/Mon 7-10pm EST.
We really need ranged dps, but if you're looking for the type of community we bring to the game, then we'd love to have you and we'll make a spot for you.  Right now we're progressing through Heroic EN.  It's hard since we have to pug ranged each week, and it slows down the start time, but we remain positive and have fun.  We've moved through Normal ToV and members have downed Helya in pugs, but as a guild we haven't, so we're looking forward to that too.

If you are interested in joining our ranks and meeting some relaxed people, then find us in game, drop a reply on here.  Hope to hear for you!

Any role We are interested in more classes, but these are our missing spots at the moment.
Order of the Silverflame has been about since vanilla although we had a bit of a break in Burning Crusade. We’re a 30-man raiding guild and we plan to remain that way.
We are a friendly group who enjoy World of Warcraft and enjoy raiding. We have fun and joke around but when bosses need to go down then all is serious! We expect members of the guild to enjoy the game as much as we do and to take part in raids and maintain a 70-85% attendance per month.
There are a few things, we highly value above everything else: friendliness and politeness towards guildies and other players and skillfulness when it comes to the more serious parts of the game.
      Currently –
We raid 3 nights a week, Wednesdays, Sundays and Mondays, from 20:00 till 23:00 server time.
We also run optional runs on Fridays when needed. (usually on heroic mode)
Saturday is left for older content runs for fun and drinking!
Although we are a 30-man guild, we usually run an extra group, to get the most people raiding, help newer raiders learn the Silverflame’s way to down bosses and gearing up. Usually, these runs happen on Thursdays.
Our current progress is 7/7 in Emerald Nightmare in Heroic Mode and 3/7 in Mythic Mode.
If you're interested in joining Order of the Silverflame, please fill in our application form, located at http://forum.silverflame.org/index.php/board,2.0.html , whisper Athlioss@Draenor or add my battletag Athlios#2283.
PS. We're always positive to group applications or guild merging discussions.
Also we're open to social applications and for Legion raiders' applications.

      ABOUT US
Procrastination is an ambitious semi-hardcore raiding guild, based on Draenor EU, founded in mid 2015, shortly after the release of Hellfire Citadel, under the name ‘Elite Slackerz’ after a bunch of old raiding buddies decided to transfer servers and start fresh. The guild has been renamed to ‘Procrastination’ in May of 2016.
Our roster consists of experienced mythic and heroic raiders, some of whom have raided from as early as Wrath, and although we expect silence and focus during pulls, we aim to keep the atmosphere during breaks and outside of raiding relaxed and full of bants and laughter.
      OUR GOALS
With Heroic Emerald Nightmare being on farm for months now, we are currently focusing on clearing Trials of Valor  Heroic and forming a mythic raiding team ready to take on the rest of Emerald Nightmare and Trials of Valor.
We aim to have a full mythic raiding team ready for Nighthold and storm it upon release.
      WHAT WE OFFER
As a guild we offer a serious raiding environment and a relaxed atmosphere full of bants, horrible jokes and laughter during breaks and outside of raiding. We keep our raiding team small and good, under performing members and trials, regardless of their rank and status in the guild, are asked to step aside for a fight, or even the night, so the guild can progress.
Additionally, we use a personal loot system so everyone is guaranteed as much loot as RNGesus deems them worthy of. If anyone receives an item they do not need, the raid is asked to roll on it, highest roll wins; Although this is how things are usually done, it is still worth mentioning that the way unneeded personal loot is shared is entirely up to the owner of the loot.
The guild leadership, however, strongly encourages that the loot be shared with the raider who would benefit from it the most.
Outside of raiding, we are still pushing Mythic+ dungeons on a daily basis, doing occasional alt runs, and we even have a handful of members interested in competitive PvP.
If not online, our members can be found on the guild Discord server, often playing other games together.
WHAT WE ASK OF OUR MEMBERS & TRIALS
      --Attitude--
As a member of Procrastination you are the representation of the guild, regardless of your position within the guild, therefore you are expected to have a friendly and respectful attitude towards both your guild mates and the people you meet out in the world. Toxicity in any way, shape or form will not be tolerated.
Procrastination has its own sense of humor, so future members are expected to have one as well. When it comes to joking around, if you can dish it out, you better be able to take it.
      --Dedication--
We are looking for raiders who strive to pull the most out of their class/spec and are constantly looking for new ways to improve themselves, and the guild. All members are expected to be able to not only accept constructive criticism and learn from it but to also not shy away from expressing their opinion or giving constructive criticism to other raiders (including the leadership of the guild). New ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated, especially during progression runs.
      --Attendance--
As we strive to become a Mythic raiding guild, attendance is important. All our raiders and trials are required to attend a minimum of 80% of raid nights - meaning they are not allowed to miss out on more than two raid nights a month if they do not have a good excuse for it and would like to keep their spot on the team.
Additionally, all raiders and trials are expected to have a stable internet connection and be able to join the Discord server during raid nights.
      --Communication--
We are an international guild, and as such, we expect our members to be able to communicate in English both in guild chat and in Discord so that everyone can understand each other. Raiders, of course, are expected to have a working microphone and able to cut out any background noises by switching to push-to-talk if necessary.
      RAIDING SCHEDULE
We raid for three hours three nights a week, however during progression raid nights can sometimes be extended by another 30 minutes depending on how we’re doing on a boss.
All raid nights are server time and not subject to change.
      Monday 20.30 - 23.30
      Wednesday 20.30 - 23.30
      Saturday 20.30-23.30
      RECRUITMENT STATUS
Procrastination is currently recruiting 870+ ranged DPS, however exceptional raiders of any other role will always be considered.
      THE LIFE OF A TRIAL
A Trial in Procrastination lasts a maximum of 6 raid nights, trials are expected to attend every raid night and treat every raid night as a progression night - meaning they are expected to bring their own food, flasks, pre-pots, pots and come fully enchanted and gemmed.
Again, we use a personal loot system, so as a trial you will not be starved of loot, unless you have really bad RNG and there is no loot to be shared around.
      CONTACT
If you are interested in joining us, or simply need more information, you’re welcome to contact Procrastination’s guild leader in game (Betteh), via BattleTag (Ririxia#2172), join our Discord server and poke someone from the leadership until you get the answers you seek, or simply apply through our website :)

I'm creating this stand alone thread with my UI so it would be easier to maintain and update the strings here, rather than in two different guides that already grew too big for easy updates.
      My UI looks like this:

All the frames except of the raid ones are ElvUI, raid frames are Vuhdo.
The shaman hub in the middle is Sweetsour's Shaman Auras.
      ElvUI profile:
      Pastebin

Please read carefully before importing VuhDo profiles:
VuhDo profiles do not contain custom bouquets so to use my bouquets you will have to import them to VuhDo before importing my profile.
If you will not import custom bouquets, you will get an error message about them missing.
If you don't need my bouquets but only a general layout, you can choose other options instead of them in VuhDo configuration in game.

      Custom bouquets:
      Paladin Beacon
      Personal CDs
      Raid Cooldowns
      Single_targ_mitigation

      VuhDo profile Resto Shaman (20-man):
      Pastebin
      VuhDo profile Resto Shaman (5-man):

      VuhDo Resto Shaman Key Layouts:
