Need help - problem with ads on the forums

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am currently investigating an issue that causes Google to display a warning when you access some of our pages on the forums. The tool that the warning is displayed through is called Google Safe Browsing and is included in many browsers, like Safari, Chrome, or Firefox.

The problem is described here: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=icy-veins.com

I get more information from our Google's Webmaster Tools account but nothing really useful, so I can't investigate. I also doubt the veracity of the tool, because of this: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=google.com

From what I can tell, there is supposed to be a bad ad being served on Icy Veins and it tries to download something from bestiasklor.com. I tried my best to reproduce this, to no avail, so I was wondering if anyone here had more information. For example, if you received a warning from your anti-virus about this bestiasklor.com website when browsing Icy Veins, I'd like to have more details (like if you could save the page and send it to me, it would be awesome).

Thanks for your help!

Hmm, I haven't had any problem using Waterfox (which is Firefox made specifically for 64 bit systems) with ad block plus, but I do have problems when browsing on my phone (iPhone 4, using safari). Every now and then I will get redirected to the App Store (I don't check what app it is redirecting me to, as I usually close out the App Store before it loads) upon load the page.

Alright, I fixed it. Some people managed to add malicious code in the forums. I guess I still need to investigate to figure out what happened. They did it without accessing the Admin Panel.
