Frost DK dps, underperforming, assistance please

Hey guys, I'm a Frost Dk dps and have been one since the proud uprising of DK's in Wotlk, I do feel like i am somewhat weak and underperforming, if anyone has any suggestions/help they can provide please do so. Thank you very much.

If your running BRF I think unholy could win over in this raid because of the AOE capabilitys

Overall you miss quite some Soul Reaper hits on different bosses, both them not proccing and just generally a low amount for the fight length.

 

Secondly, you generally waste quite some KM procs on Frost Strikes instead of Obliterates. Not sure if there is a golden number for it but you should generally wait with a KM proc untill you have runes for Obliterate (unless Obliterate has x seconds cooldown, someone else should verify).

 

Unholy is indeed generally better on alot of BRF bosses, but Frost is still a competitive spec that you can play if you prefer.

Only use KM proc on FS when CD of OB is 3 seconds or higher and you don't have blood charges or PL.

crit % should be 60% on OB vs 40% on FS.

 

Looking at your log you are sitting on quite a load of RP half way through the fight:

Get a swing timer and try and get a few FS in between swings so you don't cap on RP and you don't waste a KM proc on FS.

If you look though this I have a few bosses as frost however frost isn't as competitive as unholy and I agree with everyone's comments . Frost is a burst spec I only really play it if we are struggling to kill an add or boxes . Just make sure you are dropping rp all the time. In all our specs soul reaper accounts for 24% of all our dos so the second you can that needs to be your main prio
