WW DW Enchant question

Recommended Posts

I'm a fresh WW monk and I recall reading few days ago that we shouldn't enchant Frostwolf twice if we DW - however all the guides seem to indicate this.

So what should I put on my MH/OH, any 6.1 changes affecting this?

Edit Another question if someone knows, why does SEF not trigger a visible GCD (yet you are unable to cast it twice to different targets instantly (there's a invisible GCD there, still) via mouseover for example. Feels kinda clunky :/

How would you be able to cast it twice, instantly, to two different targets...unless you mouseover click cast + hotkey cast on your current target...OR...mouseover click cast + hotkey cast on a designated focus target?

I ask, because, either of those scenarios would result in an overall DPS loss due to you having your target gain a SEF clone, which would negate any DPS the clone would be doing until you personally switch to a non-cloned target.  Even if you switch "instantaneously" immediately afterwards, there is still the brief moment of the clone doing nothing.

In other words: I don't think it's something you would ever really want to do anyways, unless there's something I'm missing or not realizing about your question.

I personally don't see much of a "delay" anyways, but I'm pretty dang fast with my mouseover target clicking (my middle mousewheel press is my SEF).  But hey...there's always someone better out there, with better ways of doing something...and I know I'm not the best :)

SEF is off the global cooldown, but has its own individual cooldown, just like Heroic Strike for Warriors. Look closer at your toolbar when casting SEF.

For enchants, I dunno. Can't think of a reason not to go double multistrike, since it stacks, unless you wanted to go multi and haste for AOE. But I'm no enchant pro.

edit: looked into it a bit more. Given the RPPM of both enchants and the stat weights on Mr. Robot, Frostwolf is worth 81 points single target, 75 mult. Warsong is worth 90.7 single, 113.8 multi.

But Warsong is only going to live up to its full point potential if it never procs during Serenity, never forces you to delay a Serenity cast, never makes you cap energy during FoF, and doesn't reduce the channel time of SCK below 1.0 second (which is impossible as that happens around 1,000 haste).

So I really can't see any compelling reason not to go with 2x Frostwolf, unless I'm missing something big. The crit and mastery enchants don't look worth using at all for WW.

I've tried both Frostwolf and Warsong on my Talrak, and Warsong has generally given me the best numbers overall.

Just adding a little bit from my own experience with a 2-Hander.  I looked at the logs last week of the top parsing people, and notice most have Frostwolf on Talrak, and I ask myself, "How do they do it?!?"  And the best I can come up with is they're just better than I am.  I would love to spend some gaming sessions with them just to pick their brain for advice!  I don't personally log myself, and generally just spend time looking at what other people are doing.
