Crusader Condemn

Hey! Love the new D3 guides!

Question though, on your Condemn Crusader guide you don't have the stat priorities for the shield! Anyway you could add those on there?

Thanks so much!!

Hiya!

Just wondering, is it intentional that on the amulet slot you don't have CDR as a required roll? Seems like without the damn Leoric helmet it's pretty much a MUST - I'm using the helmet with a diamond; with 1 ring and ammy having perfect CDR rolls I'm barely over 56%, so I can't even imagine not having CDR on ammy if i were to get rid of the helm.

Good luck!

Use Elective mode in the settings.

The shield Frydehr's Wrath turns Condemn from a cooldown into a spender skill!

Unity is in cube because Unity on self + Unity in Follower with "Follower Cannot Die" item provides a flat, constant 50% incoming damage reduction with no detriment to yourself

Vigilante Belt? Best in slot?! What the... it's level 8 legendary, how can it bee BiS?

And most of the items in that list are NOT level 70

Heya - this item begins dropping around level 8, but does not remain static, and will roll with level 70-appropriate stats if you find it at max level. The same applies for any item in the list with a 'starting level' listed

I tried to update this set-build since it was my first ever D3 build (nostalgia already), I found that by using full Akhan set & Focus+Restraint the damage was pretty high & I can solo Grift 55, not great, but not bad either.

Yeah i just started trying the focus + restraint with both sockets. They are insane +50% constant damage whatever you do. Plus they boost your toughness too. But what was funny is that both of them dropped my 'raw dps' by 20% in theory (The red numbers when you compare items), but in actuality, they boosted my damage to high heaven. I've gone from stuck in T4 to breezing through T5 just with these 2 rings and nothing else changed in my build nor skills. They are THAT good!

I like this build a lot! I've tried every other build and yes, some do a more damage but none is so much fun to play with. After spending I don't know how many bloodshards I finally got the BoP from Kadala, so now I got my CDR finally over 56% which is great.

But now that I have it  I'm tempted to extract the legendary power and use that on the cube, and as a two hand weapon use "The Grandfather" at its place - which has over 4k damage whereas my version of the BoP has 3.1k damage.

Don't care much about getting into the Leaderboards, but I'd like to solo grifts and get my seasonal objectives done which right now I'm struggling with, have tried variants with the Restraint and Focus or even The Traveler's pledge and the Compass Rose which give you an additional +50% critical Hit Damage but at the cost of CDR, so I suppose I just need to get more Paragon Points and take it from there (currently at 384 and can't solo a grift lvl40 sad.png )

Great guide, I have a question on the cube weapon. I have always had horrible luck finding a furnace in seasons, the only time ever being a level fifty that dropped for me the season before we got the cube. However I do have a flail that has the effect "Akarat's Champion gains the effects of the Prophet and Embodiment of Power runes"

Would would this be a good cube substitute?

I am curious that you don't advocate use of the Gogok of Swiftness. The 15% CDR from its max rank is amazingly useful, especially for keeping up Akkarat's Champion.

It's an alright choice, but it basically takes the two best runes of Akarat's Champion and leaves you to choose between the (lackluster) remaining ones. I would cube a In-Geom instead - I think it's a fair replacement, as it also allows you to run Goldwrap as your belt.

It can be a temporary substitute. The simple reason it is not recommended is, once you hit the 56% CDR breakpoint you stop needing it. The other gems will net you other, more important benefits.

How do you get Condemn and Provoke on the same skill set. Aren't they both utility skills?

So with the changes to Taeguk it no longer seems viable in the build. What would be the best replacement for it? The new Version of Bane of the Powerful seems pretty reasonable in terms of hybrid damage and protection.

It seems as though you need more than 56% CDR for perma Akarat. I have 68% with paragon points and I still have to wait almost 5 seconds for the cool down to finish. I love the build, but at GR 71 which is where I'm stuck now, that 5 seconds translates into almost certain death. Did something change regarding the 56% CDR threshold?

Actually never mind, I'm an idiot. Been playing this game almost 2 months and never looked at character details. (I'm on PS4) I was just adding up the CDR values from the gear, not realising that it's different than what it actually shows in the character details screen. Sorry for that. Again, love the build.

Check Elective Mode in your Gameplay options - this allows you to pretty much slot any skill anywhere.

Good question! Mirinae will also be overhauled, so it might make for a strong contender. I'll look into it soon!

quick question. My hellfire amulet has the finery passive on it, would it still be effective to take the finery skill?

No! You cannot double up on passives.

I'm so confused, which skill consumes wrath? Condemn doesn't use up any wrath..

Two legendary items are getting tweaks in an upcoming PTR build, while two other legendaries will remain as they are.
Community Manager Nevalistis gave some feedback about four of the reworked legendaries. Apparently, The Barber and Faithful Memory are receiving some nerfs in a future PTR build, while the team is happy with how Hellcat’s Waistguard and Manald Heal turned out.
      Nevalistis
It's been great to see a lot of earnest testing and honest feedback. Thanks, everyone, who's participated thus far! Based on your feedback, we have a few changes pending for some of these items that I wanted to share before they go live in the next PTR patch.

      The Barber
Those of you who have been testing The Barber have seen this item jump from flat out not-functioning to most certainly over-performing. We suspect that the damage on this item is a tad high (particularly when using the Phantasm rune), so we're removing the damage bonus granted by the final explosion. There were also some pretty funky interactions occurring with Phantasm that caused some scaling issues, and we'll be correcting those.

TLDR: Witch Doctors looking for massive AoE explosions from Spirit Barrage should still see effective results, but they won't be quite so over the top.

      Faithful Memory
Faithful Memory is greatly benefiting from changes made to Greater Rifts and density. As many of you have noted, it's a wee bit on the powerful side. We're going to implement a cap on the number of stacks that can be gained and see how this performs. That leaves room for potential tweaking in the future if it's been adjusted too far.

      Hellcat's Waistguard
We're pretty happy with how Hellcat's Waistguard is panning out in practice. We wanted to introduce an alternative play style rather than a new meta for Greater Rift pushing with the possibility that someone might discover a new top-tier combination or build with it, and we feel this item fulfills that goal.

      Manald Heal
Manald Heal is in very much a similar place as Hellcat's Waistguard, though it admittedly needed a bump from its initial version on the PTR. Thanks to everyone who helped us test this item! The builds that are coming out of it actually perform pretty well, and we think there's still more room for player experimentation here.

Overall, I want to reiterate that we don't intentionally design items to shift or change "the meta," nor are we looking to continue feeding power creep. The intention of many of these items (and likely those in the future) will be to provide options to play differently while remaining reasonably competitive with other existing options. (source) We remind you that the effects of these legendary items are currently as follows on the PTR:
The Barber: Instead of dealing direct damage, your Spirit Barrage now accumulates on the target. When you stop channeling, it explodes dealing 225-250% of the accumulated damage to all enemies within 15 yards. Faithful Memory: Each enemy hit by Falling Sword increases the damage of Blessed Hammer by 50-60% for 10 seconds. Hellcat's Waistguard: Grenades have a chance to bounce 3-5 times, dealing an additional 50% damage on each bounce. This bonus is increased to 800% on the final bounce. Manald Heal: Enemies stunned with Paralysis also take 13,000-14,000% weapon damage as Lightning. Αn overview of Patch 2.4.3 can be found here.
