a quick gearing question (for a change) :p

Recommended Posts

hi guys just a quick question,

armoury : http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/chracter/bloodhoof/calis/simple

with my stats, I have 2 weapon I can choose ,

either blackhands hammer, which has more mastery and crit , but no haste.

than

thogar's control rod , which has a little less mastery but a lot more haste with no crit

regards

Go with thogar's haste is necessary up to a point (that point being 15% buffed) and you're far below that threshold.

Yeah I thought that , but I got told on another post I got told it wasn't needed , so kept with blackhands hammer, so I was miss informed.

I'll regem as well to 15% buffed.

15% buffed haste isn't a target threshold. It equates to roughly one extra HoW under Wings, which, due to latency and fight mechanics, can be lost anyway. It's very much a theoretical benefit point, and, I think, occurs again at every 15%. If you can get a bit of it on gear, great - it's going to be useful; but there's no need to actively seek it.

Thanks for that , I will go with the control rod and see if that helps with my dps, non raiding I'm starting to do prot more , used to do tanking back in mists but never got into doing it properly.
