Guardian Glyph of Fae Silence

Recommended Posts

Sooo i'm wondering what you guys' opinion on  ability_druid_challangingroar.jpgGlyph of Fae Silence is. Is it a good one to use all the time, or would the unglyphed one with no cd be better?

Guardian druid (obv)

Faerie Fire is not part of your rotation anymore with the removal of Weakened Armor, so if you need another interrupt more often than you need a peel/pick-up ability, you certainly can use it. I used to use Glyph of Cat Form, but they took that away from Guardians, so I use Glyph of Rebirth, Stampeding Roar, and Dash.

I am pretty sure Glyph of Fae Silence has little use, as it only silences the target, but doesn't interrupt it. Most enemies in raids are immune to silence effects (but not interrupts), so it should only be useful in very few situations (maybe adds on Tectus?).

I wouldn't waste a glyph spot on it. Glyph of Maul and Glyph of Rebirth are both so powerful, and the last slot can be filled with Glyph of Dash or Glyph of Survival Instincts depending on the encounter.

Why not Glyph of Maul? Unless it is PURELY a single target fight, idk why you wouldn't use it. Gruul would be a good example of that. The other glyphs don't seem useful enough to replace Glyph of Maul, even if it is single target.

I don't really use Maul that often unless I'm solo, and if I'm running solo, it really doesn't matter because the content isn't hard enough. It is a great glyph for DPS.

If you're not using Maul then you're doing it wrong I'm afraid. With T&C up it's high priority.

My issue with the Silence glyph is that it puts the whole ability on cooldown. IIRC the Warrior equivalent (their throw) has a silence with the same cooldown but they're still able to use throw in between, it just doesn't silence any more. If the Glyph did that then it would be useful. However, only being able to use FF that rarely is often annoying and sometimes a real hindrance. It may not do much damage but personally I find a lot of use for a spammable, instant, range ability.

I use Maul and Stampede glyphs permanently and switch between SI and FF extra range depending on the fight. (In BRF there's a LOT of fights that use the SI glyph so that's almost permanent now).

Of course I use it, but it's last in my priority of Rage spenders. If I'm using Maul, it's because I'm not taking damage, and if I'm not taking damage, then I just feel like a Mage could be face-tanking this thing and it would be better.

Hmm, well on H+F (chosen because I tank throughout the fight rather than in bursts with swaps) recently I used Maul 53 times (Mangle was used 64 times for comparison). T&C procs accounted for 1.9m healing, 24% of my total healing. This is significant. If you're talking about when you don't have a T&C proc then, sure, it's a simple Rage dump. But T&C procs a lot and using them should be a priority.

      About Us
Skunkworks is a guild for players who can not or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional "hardcore" guilds.
However, we still maintain a high caliber player environment and make an efficient use of our raiding time.
We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 - 11:00 PST, just 8 hours a week and never more.

We are very protective of our guild environment and selective in recruitment. We are looking for solid players mechanically as well as intellectually.
We all get paid to deal with idiots, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well?

Skunkworks has been around for multiple expansions and has historically always been at the top of the 2-night raiding guild scene.

      Hello,
First of all, sorry for my english. :)
I know there are tons of the same topics, but they didn’t help me much.
I want start to play Legion and i can’t decide which one DK or Druid. My main is usualy tank but, I want to play also like decent dps. I think UDK/BD both are on same lvl ?
I like both GD and BDK, I don’t know how they stand right now I know GD got some nerf and BDK buff.
But in general is still GB best tank and what about BDK is he decent or crappy.
Also there is one big question – 7.3 I read about GD T21 and have very bad set bonus.
What do you think about DK bonuses. When bone shield is consumed the cooldown of DRW is reduced by 3s, 4p When DRW fades, rune regeneration is increased by 15% for 10 sec. I know it’s just PTR but still.
I will be glad for every opinion.
      Thanks

So after taking a look at the patch notes of my beloved Guardian Druid I guess we'll have to adjust so some significant changes.
      - Rage Generation took an overall nerve.
      - Ironfur took a double nerve. First by lower availability due to lower rage Generation and second by having its effect reduced from 100% armor to 80%.
      - Another double nerve is Gory Fur, now lowering costs by 25% instead of 50%, paired with lower overall rage generation.
      - Some talent changes that need ingame testing, like damage buff for Pulverize and the new Talent replacing displacer beast.
In total I find this to be a nerve for this spec, that is not evened out by 4% damage increase on many base skills - espeacially when reading, that the damage increase is a lot higher for many other classes/specs (that in some cases also needed it way more, but you get what I mean, I think).
I like the thought about more Focus on deciding whether to use ironfur or mark of ursol, since we won't be able to use it in quick succession anymore.
So how do my fellow Guardian Druids think about These changes? Did anyone experience it on the PTR and can give some comparison to the live version pre 7.1.5?
How noticable are the changes to our gameplay?

      Hey Guys
I know there is a lot of other postes about stats, but here is my question:

In general: versa >= mastery > haste
Vers for more heal and a reduction of dmg taken, mastery for more life and more incoming heal and haste for lower cd.
that's clear, but why have so much progress player other stats? moste of them have a lot of crit and more then less versa.
      for exemple:
      http://eu.battle.net/wow/de/character/tarren-mill/Justwaitdr/simple
      http://eu.battle.net/wow/de/character/ревущий-фьорд/Эрриган/simple
Moste of them have just 15-16% mastery.

      it's a bit confusing :P
I'm a main prot worrior and will play now my druid for m+ dungeons. which eq shall I buy and looking for? pure vers, pure mastery, a mix of bouth (1:1) or a other stat?

      thanks for helping

      PS:
      Has somebody a Pawn string?
