Fury Warrior- Weapon usage/handage

4 posts in this topic

I've been troubled over some in game abilities vs what people tell me, and i'm seeking a definite answer to my trouble. People tell me to use my better weapon in my main hand, and my worse weapon in my offhand, however I have a few objections to this meta. One objection being how in the description of [Crazed Berserker] "Your off-hand weapon damage is increased by 25% with two-handed weapons and by 50% with one-handed weapons". This bit of the ability begs me to question if it's better to use your better weapon in your offhand. My other objection is based off the talent [Furious Strikes] from which I use. Since this talent reduces rage required for [Wild Strike], and [Wild Strike] is a quick strike with your off-hand weapon, would having my better weapon in my off-hand be more viable to this talent choice? Any valid help would be appreciated! Below is my personal armory if my set/stats affect the decision.

I believe this question has come up before in other posts. Regardless of simulation results or theoretical situations - I simply tell everyone Fury Warrior I see to put their best weapon in the MH slot; the one that hits the hardest. Simulations may show that putting your strongest weapon in your OH slot could potentially yield anywhere from 50 - 200 more DPS but that's it; you won't see a substantial increase to really merit the decision.

If you want an absolute answer for yourself - sim yourself with both options. Sim yourself once, switch your weapons, sim yourself again and gauge your results accordingly.

Either way, as stated above, I simply tell warriors to put their strongest weapon in their MH slot. It's just easier that way and, more often times than not, better.

I believe the ideal scenario would be to have the better weapon in the OH pre execute phase, and use 1 GCD to swap weapons to have the better weapon MH for executes.

Or like Sajakain said (and I agree with) just roll with it in the MH knowing full well the difference in DPS is miniscule.  The tiniest bit of RNG will have more of an impact.

      Greetings everyone!
I'm new to this site and abbreviations in general when it comes to WoW, since it was 4 years ago since I played WoW. I've played for some time now as an Arms Warrior and finally found out that "Helgar" gives you the quest for the hidden Arms artifact, when you've reached "AK3".

Now what I am wondering is, what does "AK3" mean and how do I obtain it? Thank you for your time,

Howdy, everybody! So with the release of Legion, I thought I'd make a more updated guide to the basics of the warrior class in World of Warcraft. I did this because my old guide was about 2 years old and was made when MoP was still current! Crazy, I know. But nonetheless, I made the guide so that I could help new warriors learn the fundamentals of their class. It covers stuff such as the resource that the Warrior uses, how it's generated, what is common among the specializations,  the benefits of choosing different races for your warrior (takes up the majority of the video's time), and much more! And if this video is able to help even one person out there learn and understand the warrior a little better, it will have been worth making. The video is about 20 minutes long, so grab a drink and/or snack and enjoy the video!  :D
