You don't! :) The guide only briefly mentions them as a strong, but inaccessible combo that is replaced by Unity and Convention of Elements instead.

Hello

Thanks for sharing this build.

About 2.3, I was thinking about cubing the Golden Flense so I could equip Schaefer's Hammer because of the %lightning and of the on hit effect.

What do you think of it compared to your proposal ?

Would you consider replacing Taeguk with the new Seasons only 2.3 legendary gem (Bane of the Stricken)?

I would honestly wear the Flense and cube a Furnace as a stronger overall effect - it is really hard to beat the 50% extra damage to elites.

Would you consider replacing Taeguk with the new Seasons only 2.3 legendary gem (Bane of the Stricken)?

I would keep Taeguk and replace Esoteric Alteration instead! :) Monster damage has been significantly reduced in GRs.

Do you personally find the Sweep attack build better for solo pushing higher GR or do you believe the blessed hammer build would be better?

Love your guides btw!

What about using the Fulminator as your weapon power combined with Bane of the Stricken for the rift guardian?

Thanks! I firmly believe Blessed Hammer is stronger at the moment.

Bane of the Stricken is a lock if you're playing Season 4, as for the Fulminator - I would rather have a Furnace in the weapon slot, as this build suffers the most against elites.

What abour group play? What to use instead of the Unity? Should I wear the Obsidian ring and free up my jewelry slot in the cube for a second immunity amulet?

That would be one of your options. You could also look into wearing a Stone of Jordan and keeping the Zodiac ring in the cube, as its stats pale in comparison to its unique power.

Hi thanks for the build ! Helps me a lot to progress.

Is it a big loss if I exchange Steed Charge by Shield Bash ? Because end bosses in GR are very hard to kill only with sweep attack...

You would be lacking the means to sustain Shield Bash costs to spam it on the boss in high GRs, I think. The lack of a Piro Marella would hit you hard. I've tried it a couple of times, but it didn't feel justified; if you transition into a fire variation of the build with Cindercoat cubed, you should be able to sustain endless Sweeping on the boss without much trouble.

Hi Deadset.

You mention without explanation for the cube to put the Strongarm bracers.

Now the legendary power says that the enemies hit by knockback receive more damage from us. But this build does not do knockback, just stun. So is this still correct? Or is is an accidental mistake?

Thanks!

Hello,

What made you chose Condemn over Judgement? I've been using Judgement with Mass Verdict and found much more control over the battlefield and how I cluster my sweep attacks. It's cool down reduction is also built into the set bonus. I can see there's a damage output with Condemn, but without elemental synergy is it still really worth it?

Condemn's damage is not part of the equation, no. Judgment can be an option, but its pull is weaker than Condemn's, and will stack monster's crowd control resistance faster (2 CCs in place of 1), leading you to lose Ancient Parthan Defender's value faster.

Great build. I tried a ton of my own variants this season and kept coming back to this. The one thing I changed is the stat priority for rings/shoulders. Replace CDR on shoulders with AD, and STR on rings with AD. No AD on the weapon though, give up too much for that. The only issue is the RG and my DH buddies not playing anymore.

Somehow I'm missing why Lightning skills are important in this build. I succeeded in upgrading my golden Flense and it came as an ancient with cold damage instead of lightning. I can change my ancient parthan defenders to cold skills instead of lightning and that would leave the belt to also change perhaps with a reroll. I could try to change the weapon back to lightning but it rolled so nice I had to risk it. Thoughts?

I love your set ideas and have learned so much from your posts. Thanks!

Heya, here's the silly bit - the elemental damage part of your weapon (that reads Cold in your case, but can be Physical, Lightining, Fire or Holy as well) is irrelevant in the damage calculation. The damage dealing skill and rune (in this case Sweep Attack with Trip Attack) overwrite the weapon's element with their own. Since Trip Attack is a Lightning rune, that makes dictates the need for Lightning elemental damage across gear (amulet, bracers...)

Thanks for the information on this build,

I seem to have better luck with Akkhan's Addendum cubed over the furnace, what are your thoughts on this?  I realise furnance gives you 50% additional on elites, but does this outweigh an additional 2 runes on akkarats champion?

@Nossie, Akkhan's Addendum is convenient, but you're missing out on too much damage by losing the Furnace. The remaining Akarat's Champion runes are not all that great for the build, so you're only essentially gaining the Wrath Regen benefits - but as long as you play to your weapon's strengths, you shouldn't need Wrath at all. :)

Long time absentee player here - first season I've played is this one and I'm currently at about Paragon 440 or so.

That being said, over that time I've had absolutely no luck getting getting a furnace whatsoever, so are there any other weapons or shields that might make a reasonable substitute in the meantime?

Tried Scourge, Schaefers, Akkhans Addendum (what I'm currently resting on, for the wrath regen against solo rift bosses), Hellskull, all sorts - but none just seem to make a marked difference really.

I do have a reasonably decent Lidless Wall that has +15% or so Lightning Damage, was thinking if I got another Denial, that might make a good thing to cube and then use the Lidless?

Heya! Your Denial can indeed temporarily occupy the weapon slot in the Cube, and a worn Lidless Wall is not a bad option.

A small suggestion I can make on obtaining The Furnace faster: collect (or craft at the blacksmith) rare 2-handed maces, then use the 'upgrade rare' recipe at Kanai's Cube. This will produce legendary 2h maces specifically, significantly lowering the RNG pool of items you have to go through.

Two legendary items are getting tweaks in an upcoming PTR build, while two other legendaries will remain as they are.
Community Manager Nevalistis gave some feedback about four of the reworked legendaries. Apparently, The Barber and Faithful Memory are receiving some nerfs in a future PTR build, while the team is happy with how Hellcat’s Waistguard and Manald Heal turned out.
      Nevalistis
It's been great to see a lot of earnest testing and honest feedback. Thanks, everyone, who's participated thus far! Based on your feedback, we have a few changes pending for some of these items that I wanted to share before they go live in the next PTR patch.

      The Barber
Those of you who have been testing The Barber have seen this item jump from flat out not-functioning to most certainly over-performing. We suspect that the damage on this item is a tad high (particularly when using the Phantasm rune), so we're removing the damage bonus granted by the final explosion. There were also some pretty funky interactions occurring with Phantasm that caused some scaling issues, and we'll be correcting those.

TLDR: Witch Doctors looking for massive AoE explosions from Spirit Barrage should still see effective results, but they won't be quite so over the top.

      Faithful Memory
Faithful Memory is greatly benefiting from changes made to Greater Rifts and density. As many of you have noted, it's a wee bit on the powerful side. We're going to implement a cap on the number of stacks that can be gained and see how this performs. That leaves room for potential tweaking in the future if it's been adjusted too far.

      Hellcat's Waistguard
We're pretty happy with how Hellcat's Waistguard is panning out in practice. We wanted to introduce an alternative play style rather than a new meta for Greater Rift pushing with the possibility that someone might discover a new top-tier combination or build with it, and we feel this item fulfills that goal.

      Manald Heal
Manald Heal is in very much a similar place as Hellcat's Waistguard, though it admittedly needed a bump from its initial version on the PTR. Thanks to everyone who helped us test this item! The builds that are coming out of it actually perform pretty well, and we think there's still more room for player experimentation here.

Overall, I want to reiterate that we don't intentionally design items to shift or change "the meta," nor are we looking to continue feeding power creep. The intention of many of these items (and likely those in the future) will be to provide options to play differently while remaining reasonably competitive with other existing options. (source) We remind you that the effects of these legendary items are currently as follows on the PTR:
The Barber: Instead of dealing direct damage, your Spirit Barrage now accumulates on the target. When you stop channeling, it explodes dealing 225-250% of the accumulated damage to all enemies within 15 yards. Faithful Memory: Each enemy hit by Falling Sword increases the damage of Blessed Hammer by 50-60% for 10 seconds. Hellcat's Waistguard: Grenades have a chance to bounce 3-5 times, dealing an additional 50% damage on each bounce. This bonus is increased to 800% on the final bounce. Manald Heal: Enemies stunned with Paralysis also take 13,000-14,000% weapon damage as Lightning. Αn overview of Patch 2.4.3 can be found here.
