Blizzard has released a small batch of hotfixes to resolve certain crash and framerate issues, as well as a handful of minor talent bugs. A small balance change may have snuck its way in as well!

The complete changes are as follows:

We've just released a hotfix for the Heroes of the Storm Open Beta in the Americas region of Battle.net, in order to squash a few bugs that made their way into the game following our latest patch on May 12. We will release the update for all regions worldwide throughout the rest of the day. We also released a hotfix on May 18, and those patch notes can be found here.

Complete patch notes for today's hotfix can be found below:

General

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when launching the Heroes client.
  • Resolved an issue which could cause machines using Intel HD 4600 graphics cards to experience framerate drops.

Heroes and Talents

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Rehgar players to permanently lose control of their Hero after coming under the effects Anub’arak’s Web Blast.
  • Sonya’s Whirlwind will no longer occasionally consume double the required Fury when spamming its Ability hotkey.
  • Kael’thas’ Chain Bomb and Ignite Talents will no longer apply Living Bomb to enemies that are already affected by another Living Bomb. The tooltip for these Talents will be clarified in a future patch.

User Interface

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Heroes client to crash.
  • Fixed an issue that could allow the Allied Chat toggle message at the beginning of each game to remain clickable even after the text had faded off of the screen.
  • The font color for whisper messages has been changed back to fuchsia.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause text with diacritics to appear misaligned.

The Kael'thas fix reads as less of a bug/hotfix item and more of a balance change, but it's clearly not the intended functionality of the abilities to have them 'chain' either.

What are your thoughts on these fixes?

Next week, Ragnaros will hit test servers. It's likely there will also be a balance update. Trikslyr wrote on reddit that a new balance Q/A is scheduled for December 6 and will last roughly 1.5 hours.

Please note: We’ll also be asking players from non-English speaking communities to partake in the Q&A by submitting their questions to the Community Managers representing their regions. As such, you might see a few Blizzard Community Managers posting questions (in English) on behalf of their communities during the Q&A. Feel free to upvote those questions if you’d like to see answers to them.

The last balance update dates back to November 15 when Varian was released. We've seen some hotfixes on November 21. My wild guess would be balance update next week and Ragnaros live the week after. Reworked Haunted Mines should be back too.

The Nexus Challenge has been introduced in mid-November and is here to stay until January 4, 2017. It offers quite interesting Heroes that are a beneficial addition to your roster, a 31-day Stimpack and even more rewards if you're into Overwatch.
If you feel like it's taking too long to complete the 30 games then you're doing it wrong! Most of this is common sense, but you can easily finish it in several hours, because AI games with Friends count towards the 30 game requirement.
First, join an in-game chat, such as /lfg or /reddit. It makes looking for other people who also want to complete the objective much easier. The easiest method is to complete 30 games with AI set to Beginner with 4 other players. You can completely ignore objectives and all players should focus on pushing a single lane together. This is called AI rush and my games usually take no more than 5-6 minutes before we destroy the enemy core.  I've been even able to complete a game in 4:40.
      Tips
If you're joining a random group, don't forget to right-click a player's portrait and add him as a friend. I usually do this with every group member, because sometimes a single person doesn't confirm it. Don't start the game by clicking "Ready" unless at least one player has accepted your friend request or the next game played won't count toward the Nexus Challenge requirement. We've got guides ready for all the Heroes you get from the challenge Auriel Greymane Kerrigan Li-Ming Zarya Ideal compositions for speed runs, should include Sylvanas (to disable structures), Auriel (no mana dependency), Zarya or Tassadar for shields etc. (thanks to @Krazyito for pointing out).
