is there a way to maximise the Dps gains from this trinket? can anyone confirm what triggers the new stacks and what doesnt? i just go the trinkey last night and excited to try it later after work but was interested in how to use it the best.

There is a nice article about that one here*. TLDR: it procs from every direct damage spell, every tick of BoS and Defile. It does not proc from multistrikes, disease ticks or DnD. It scales with haste, crit, multistrike, versatility and is boosted by Improved Blood Presence. It does not scale with attack power (the damage is flat), mastery or BA.

*EDIT: the site with afforementioned article was shut down by its owner. Shame, it was a good one.

The article simpetar posted is referring to using it as a blood DK- not as a dps, if you were wondering for dps there is not really a way to maxamize it, but to understand it better, your blood boil or howling blast will generate stacks on targets. i made a small WA to keep track of what my stacks are at and when they are gonna fall off.

It sure is located in a blood DK guide :) But attacks proccing it, scaling or the lack thereof remain the same for all specs. I just pointed out the unusual procs from defile ticks and BoS, because they are not direct attacks, in accordance to the article and personal observations.
