BM Stats: How high do I want Mastery and Multi-strike before stacking back to haste?

Recommended Posts

If Haste(<19%) > Mastery > Multi-strike > Haste(>19%) then where do I stop stacking on Mastery/Multi and go back to Haste?

I am sitting at 19.33% haste at 696ilvl and have several items that are mastery/multi that I could work towards getting haste/mastery or haste/multi.

or, should I just try to go all Haste/Mastery?

I'm not progression raiding, don't particularly aspire to. Just want to maximize with Baleful and Normal HFC gear.

TIA

Whatever it was that made the 19.28% haste cap exist is gone now, and the stat priority is now simply Mastery > Multi > Haste > Vers > Crit.  Simply put there is no point where you stop stacking mastery.

Just curious because I looked around and couldn't even figure out why there was a haste cap suddenly to begin with, was it something to do with tier sets or just something tweaked that I couldn't figure out? Maybe I'm a shitty hunter lol I have no idea, I can't figure it out. But now you're saying there is no more haste thing and I'm all confused. Why? When did that happen?

IIRC the haste cap had something to do with Stampede pets, but nobody ever quite found out exactly why. All we knew was that for some reason there was a drop in the value of haste after 19.28% in simcraft that isn't there now.

ah, I use Blink Strikes for questing mostly anyway. I'll switch to Stampede for LFR or if I end up in a pug.

I def got a 8-10k steady boost in dps by switching up to mastery priority from the haste priority. thanks for the clarification.

Hello hunters - I have only 2pc T18 so am still BM.  Is the mastery build still valid, or is the haste build preferred? I'm currently 711 ish.  I understand that the guides haven't been updated for BM recently, but the last version (mastery) significantly varies from AMR (haste build).  I'd really appreciate feebdack.  Thank you.

If you insist on playing BM, the go with a mastery build. However, MM will do better no matter what gear you have simply because it can execute mechanics better, ie. add switching and priority damage.
