ilvl 700 arcane mage need some help

11 posts in this topic

If you're just starting out i would go frost until i got 2p t18, then go arcane. If you dont want to frost, i would just try get more gear with mastery on it, you seem to have litte to no mastery gear besides enchants.

Yep, you should really get more gear with mastery on it. I really don't understand why you empowered stuff that doesn't have the BiS stats on them. Go and buy tokens again and again to get the gear with your stats before empowering them. If you have shitty stats the itemlvl isn't worth changing

traded out some of the gear with no mastery but decided to keep the over 700+ until i can change them thanks again. now i got 50k opening on training dummy but during conserve phaseonly 30k i use 2 arcane blast so i don't go under 93% and a barrage to keep my charges at 0-1 and if i arcane missiles proc x2 I use 1 need some pointers still thanks

Your gear indeed looks way better. Some items should be replaced as soon as possible but the lootgod isn't someone who takes wishes ;)

In conserve phase you should use 4 arcane blasts to get the stack to 4, and use your missle procs at 4 stacks. Just 1, then aonther arcane blast to not get to 100% mana and then another missle and arcane blast and then arcane barrage to reset the stacks.

It was a big difference for me to use another arcane blast at 4 stacks to get below 93% mana and use the missle proc for getting up with the mana again.

I don't know if you understand what I mean, but you can ask if you still need help for improvement ;)

ok in conserve phase 4 arcane blast then 1 missile at 4 stacks. then 1 arcane blast to keep me from 100% mana, missile then barrage to drop charges. What would be the rotation from here since conserve phase needs 93% mana at the least?

Yes, you got it. You should do the "1 missle - 1 blast" thing, till you don't have any missles up or if you drop below 93% without a missle proc up, then barrage.

After that you should be at 93%+ mana, so you'll start at the "4 arcane blasts" point. That is the hole conservephase. If your evocation comes to ~15sec cooldown you'll start burning your mana. Use your missles as soon as you drop below 93% mana and then as soon as you get one, till around 50% mana.

I just made up the "clear rotation". They're no procs from supernova or other talents calculated.
