Aggro Secrets Paladin Wild

Recommended Posts

I got two Mysterious Challengers from my first 35 TGT packs and was pretty underwhelmed initially. Of course I gave them at least a chance and: Boy, what a blast they are!

I love, how you include Murloc Knight even in this aggressive build. I have the feeling, that this deck needs (at least) one other win condition, if the opponent is somehow able to deal with the Challenger.

Personally I even include Quartermaster and Boom, but that would only mean, that I prefer a more Midrange build.

From my experience it actually IS possible to keep Mysterious Challenger in the opening hand: if all stars align and you have The Coin, Shielded Minibot/Knife Juggler, Muster for Battle and Piloted Shredder. It is hard to think of a deck, that can cope with these plays (maybe Dragon Priest).

Two minor remarks:

The last paragraph of the Strategy section says: "If you summon all 4 Secrets into play at once...", but this aggressive deck contains 5 secrets.

The first paragraph of the Mulligans section mentions Haunted Creeper, which is only run in your Midrange deck.

Cheerio,

Bob

Played this deck today (9/1/15) had everything set up with the secret keeper out first. The next turn I played the Mysterious Challenger and my secret keeper received zero bonuses from four secrets being pulled from my deck.

This deck, IMHO, sucks balls. It gives you very little beginning game wise but secrets. The Secret keeper is useless. Midrange is EASILY taken out because you can't get board control worth a crap in the beginning so your throwing down one minion at a time just trying to stay alive. Yea there are some lucky games where you eek through, but overall I can not see this getting you to legendary. I've gotten further with a basic deck in ranked than I can achieve with this. Some major flaws with this deck. It is EASILY handled by almost any opponent who knows what they're doing, which is the majority of players in ranked.

I went 28-12 with this deck on stream yesterday, you are likely just playing poorly.

Hello buddy, I saw that the deck you were playing on stream was slighty different from the one in the guide. The one in the stream had more 1 mana minions, and there was no murlock knight. Considering the current meta, which would you recommend for ladder climbing? I'm rank 14 at the moment.

Hello. Which agro variation do you recommend, the one in the guide or the one you used on stream?

That's true, the exact list I played on stream was slightly more aggressive than this one, but having tested both, I favour this list I have posted.

Avenge is key to the Mysterious Challenger chain since the Noble Sac + Avenge combination is key to set the whole thing off. I'd say Avenge is pretty essential to playing this deck effectively.

Very fun deck Sottle, thanks for it! I was thinking of weaving 1 Warhorse Trainer in for extra push with Muster for Battle, in place of one of the Shredders maybe?

Have you tried the version of this deck that plays Abusive Sergeant and/or Argent Squire? Do you feel this version is stronger?

I wouldn't. If a deck does not have a budget constraint in the title, you can assume I think the build is optimal with all cards available.

Love this deck so much. Had to post something. I was using the more expensive midrange paladin deck, but without a Tirion because I didn't have him yet. I couldn't seem to get out of Rank 15-17, maybe I suck or something but it seemed highly dependent on RNG/luck, as well as dependent on my opponent not getting luckier than I was.

However, as soon as I made this deck, which costs half as much dust as the Midrange (I didn't even need to build any cards for it, I already had them all from the midrange) I've now rocketed from Rank 16 to 3 stars into Rank 11. Feels really good to advance, and feels really good to always be moving the board forward and aggressively attacking.

Guess Aggro is just the way to go for me. Thanks again for making this deck!

Hey Sottle, I just started hearthstone and I apparently pulled a legendary on my first deck, Ysera. I been looking through deck builds and yours is always the cheapest. Do you think I should disenchant my Ysera for this build because I can't afford it at the current moment. All I have right now is 400 dust so I probably cant finish it but I can get close. Thanks.

If you are sure you don't want to play control decks (or want to main paladin), you can definitely disenchant it.

However, if you want to play mainly control decks, I would not disenchant her as 1200 dust loss is a significant amount. Although you would be able to craft commons and rares, the control power comes from legendary cards and Ysera is one of those cards that can win you games alone.
