I don't get why Hexing Pants and Cindercoat are recommended? This build doesn't have a moving channel attack, so Hexing Pants apply a permanent 20% debuff to damage. And since both spenders are Holy, Cindercoat would do nothing.

Maybe the build was edited at some point, obsoleting these recommendations?

Thanks for the build. I was struggling to find *any* combination of skills that made the Crusader even remotely interesting.

Heya - the list of items to keep was not necessarily for the particular build, but for the class as a whole! :) Apologies if it wasn't clear. Nevertheless, you can use Hexing Pants with a Blessed Hammer build, but you will have to adapt to a 'stutter stepping' playstyle, where you constantly alternate between moving and attacking with the skill. It is commonly used in the endgame Blessed Hammer builds, but is likely to change in Patch 2.4 with the rework of Hammer Jammers.

Go really up close to the Guardian to ensure all Blessed Hammer casts will pass through him as soon as they spawn. :)

I know this season, 7, is coming to a close, but I have been wondering how are you getting steed charge and condemn on action bars since they are both on the same tab and dont offer a way to transfer to other keys.  I am fairly new to Diablo 3 as well, so may be something I am possibly missing or misunderstanding, or maybe something was changed after this build was made.

You go into settings and turn on elective mode. Then use the arrows when choosing skills at the top left and top right corner.

Looks like Zettez has already answered this above, but yeah, the skill allocation is locked for new players until you enable changing it. It allows for newer players to maintain a more "balanced" playstyle.

Please update this to season 8!

If there are updates required, I'm sure Deadset will have it done before the season releases.

I'm having trouble keeping up wrath in the build, any advice?

Do you mean the leveling build, or Seeker of the Light set starter build?

Depending on how far your character has advanced, you can: 1) add a generator skill to the build; 2) try to temporarily work with Reaper's Wraps as your bracers; 3) prioritize gambling and farming for Gabriel's Vambraces .

But really, a link to your character would help a lot with giving out specific advice :)

It looks like you're missing stat priority for shields in the guide. I found these suggestions on the official D3 forums:

  • Must have
    • Strength
    • Crit hit change
    • Cooldown reduction (Crusader shields)
  • Optional secondary
    • % Skill damage
    • Wrath regeneration
    • Increased damage vs. elite
    • Resistance to elements
    • Life per wrath spent

Does that sounds about right to you?

Guard of Johanna Guard of Johanna and Denial Denial deserve special mention in the category, as both shields have a level requirement of 12, meaning they can drop very early on, or be gambled as early as level 1. This enables the gambling strat of creating a level 1 Crusader alt on the side, and gambling the bloodshards from your main on low level shields — quickly yielding Guard of Johanna Guard of Johanna and/or Denial Denial from the tiny RNG pool of a starting character. Note that the item's level 1 stats will make it obsolete for endgame, but their bonus is powerful enough to carry you throughout leveling, and to be cubed immediately at level 70.

I got the Guard of Johanna Guard of Johanna  to drop from using the gambling strat on an alt. How do I go about to cubing it at level 70? Which recipe from Kanai's Cube do I use?

thank you,

Yes, that's a decent model to go on for now.

See the above comment from the official D3 forums.

thank you,

You will use the one to put the properties of the legendary into the cube. It costs 1 of each bounty material and 5x Death's Breath.

Rainbow Portrait is coming to consoles with the patch that brings Seasons, The rest blue posts deal with The Barber, Juggernaut affix and the duration of the Darkening of Tristam event.
      Rainbow Portrait on Consoles
The rainbow portrait isn't currently available on consoles. The implementation of portraits will come with the patch that brings Seasons to consoles (Season 10 maybe). Until then, you can earn portraits through the Darkening of Tristam event.
      Nevalistis
So, with the 1.15/1.16 patch, will this portrait drop now on the consoles?
Sorry for the delay in response, but I had to do some digging on this one. On console, Sir William does not currently drop the Whimsyshire portrait. The reason why is because full portrait integration isn't actually active yet for the Ultimate Evil Edition on PS4/XB1, though a couple of portraits can be earned through the Darkening of Tristram event (see here for more information on that). Full integration will be coming with the patch where Seasons become available on console.

If this is something you guys would like to see in the future once portrait integration is in, I'll be happy to pass along that feedback to our console development team!

The Darkening of Tristam Event Duration
Another posts informs that the Darkening of Tristam event will last until the end of January and will return every January from here on out.
      Nevalistis
When does the Darkening of Tristram event end?
Just to confirm, The Darkening of Tristram event will last until the end of this month (January), and will return every January from here on out.

      The Barber Nerfs
A player has submitted photographic evidence that The Barber has been nerfed. Here's a blue post related to it.
      Tyvalir
I'm using it with a build I'm working on and I like it even though it's not doing insane amounts of godly damage like on the ptr.
Glad you're liking the revamped Barber! As more people play with this item, there will doubtless be interesting new builds they create that are worth trying out.

It's also worth noting that with the changes to certain items in patch 2.4.3, we've seen players talk about how these compare to the most powerful Legendary and Set items available in the game.

To clarify, our goal when updating Legendary items is to open up new build opportunities for players to explore. Along with this, it's important to note that not every item is designed to push the current best Greater Rift level. Some will be better for speed farming builds, and others will simply be a means to create fun novelty builds (like Manajuma's Way, for instance).

There's more than one way to compare an item's relative worth, and more than one way to incorporate it into various builds. Even so, I'm glad to see people trying the new items out and sharing their experiences. It helps, for sure!
Is it really not guaranteed elemental damage though?
As for the weapon not rolling the additional damage modifier, that does seem buggy - I will pass this on, and thanks for reporting it!

      Juggernauts in Greater Rifts
They now have lots of health and resistance to damage, intended? The information below was taken from the latest patch notes.
      2.4.3 Patch Notes - Juggernaut
Juggernaut New enemy affix Juggernaut monsters are permanently immune to crowd control effects, but move more slowly than normal monsters Along with this change, enemies with this affix take 30% more damage from all sources Only a rare Elite enemy can be a Juggernaut (Source)
There may even be a visual indicator for affixes on elites in the works!
      Tyvalir
OK I got it - immunity to cc means a whole bunch of procs that raise damage or debuff won't work.
Just wanted to clarify for those who haven't seen the new Juggernaut affix in-game or read our recent patch notes that this is correct. As with all enemy affixes, some will be easier for certain builds to handle while the inverse is true for others.

One of our goals when adding new enemy affixes is to broaden the types of enemy variety you see in the game and the kinds of challenges you'll face. This helps achieve both of those goals while (hopefully) encouraging you to think more tactically in certain cases as a CC-dependent character.
Damn! Will have to actually look at affixes now - it would be nice to have a visual indicator on the elite.
Totally fair feedback! I'm happy to pass this on and thanks for sharing it.

On January 10, Blizzard has released the first round of hotfixes related to issues in Patch 2.4.3. Those issues have also been removed from the 2.4.3 Known Issues List.
      Nevalistis
Below you will find a list of hotfixes recently applied or coming soon that address various bugs or mechanic tweaks.

These hotfixes should not require you to download a new patch. Some of the hotfixes below will go live the moment they are implemented while others may require restarting the game to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch. Also note that changes to certain abilities will not be reflected in its tooltip until a patch is issued.

Last updated January 10. Hotfixes are denoted by the date they were applied to live servers.
