Heyas, Oracle, and welcome to the game. smile.png

1. All your characters are eligible for all kind of realms PvE / PvP / RP. But to move a toon between realms or factions (Aliance / Horde) will cost you Transfer money. If you don't like to be PvP disturbed while leveling, don't chose PvP realm.

You can see a list of realms by Type, Population, Faction ratio and PvE raid progress on Wowprogress. I chose EU-Eng realms in the link but you can check US and other language realms there too.

2. Raids and Outdoor Bosses are designed for end-game, so you will have to level to 100 and gear up a bit to start raiding.

The easiest 'tourist' level of raiding is LFR - in-game tool that builds automatically 25-man raid group. For higher level raiding (Normal, Heroic, Mythic) you will have to join manually created groups but frankly, raiding is mostly done with a guild.

You can join 5-man dungeons with boss fights from level 15 and the game will walk you through this possibility - you wouldn't miss it.

3. The simple answer - no, you can't switch regular gear between characters. The more complicated answer - there are some kinds of Heirloom and BoA (Bind on Account) gear that can be transferred between characters but it's used almost exclusively for leveling alts and you wouldn't be able to reach it on the brand new toon.

4. You can get your first ground mount on level 20. When reaching lvl 20 you will receive a quest that will walk you through the process. You will get a possibility to obtain next (faster) ground mount on level 40 and will unlock flying on level 60 (not in all areas). All flying skills and mounts cost money - first ones are very cheap.

5. Rolling restarts is a once per week realms technical maintenance mostly for 15 min. Sometimes it's extended to 4-6 hours if there's a patch to apply, etc. It's Tuesday for US and Wednesday for EU.

6. Clans in WoW are called Guilds. When you start to play, you'll be spammed in game with automatic invites to join some random guilds - do not accept this.

You can look for a normal guild on IV forum, on official forum, on mmo-champion, etc...

You didn't mention where you are playing - EU or US - so I can't point you to the exact place.

For example, this is the Guild thread of my server (EU-Argent Dawn) on the official WoW forum. You can read about different guilds there and check their sites. Most of established long time guilds have their own site. This is of my guild for example: Immortalis.

7. The trading feature in game is Auction House. You can find it in every capital city and they are all linked.

Here's a bit of explanation about it.

Hope, it helps smile.png

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Welcome to the game,

If you simply want to do some World PvP on a normal realm, simply enable PvP.

To enable PvP: Right click on your portrait (health bar), go to Player vs Player, and select Enabled.

Note that you cannot attack players that are not PvP enabled, but they can attack you. The moment they do attack you, they are automatically PvP enabled. If everyone is too scared, you can transfer to a PvP Realm as Pandacho suggested.

You can also enter Battlegrounds or Arenas, in which all players are automatically PvP enabled.

The Group Finder (Default hotkey "I"), small green eye button on your menu bar. This allows you to queue up for either PvE or PvP content.

Only certain equipment can be shared if they haven't been equipped yet. This is called "Bind on Equip" which will be displayed in the tooltip, for example inv_jewelry_ring_13.jpgBraided Copper Ring

Stronger equipment cannot be traded. When looting/viewing these equipment they will say "Bind on Pickup". inv_jewelry_ring_01.jpgBounty Hunter's Ring.

When a item cannot be traded it simply says "Soulbound" in the tooltip.

As for the Heirlooms Pandacho mentioned, see my Guide, they cost a lot.

      H-Bleeding Hollow

Methodical is a Horde guild on the realm Bleeding Hollow we are currently in the process of rebuilding our raid core, and are in need of players to replace some trials that were cut. We are recruiting ALL exceptional players new, or returning, for moving towards mythics. We are seeking smart players who know how to play their class well and have no problem learning new mechanics quickly.

      Raid Progression: 1/7 M EN
      Raid Dates: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.
Raid Times: 9:30P-12:30A EST (Be online by 9:15P)

      About us:
We are comprised of long term raiders who have raided multiple expansions at a high level.
Most of us have played together for many years.
We try to be on a first name basis with our raiders.
We raid to have fun with our friends but also to push progression.
Semi-Hardcore raiding guild whose goal is to get Cutting Edge each tier.

      Who we are looking for:
People who get excited about raiding every raid night.
People we can rely on (attendance, effort, communication, dedication).
People who who are looking for a fun raiding environment.
People who understand what progression is all about.
People who engage in the guild (socially, and as an integral part of the team).

We are currently looking for non-leather RDPS.

      Requirements from you:
Be able to make our times with 90% attendance (we understand certain real life situations occasionally come up)
Know your class to the best of your ability and be able to take criticism from other players on how to improve your class. Also go through logs and see what you are doing wrong so you can play at your full potential.
Execute mechanics in a logical sense. You do no DPS/HPS while you're dead. Standing in fire does not give you buffs.

      [Zul'jin][Horde]<ShadowGear Army> LFM Raiders 7/7

How strong do you want to be?

ShadowGear Army is a raiding guild made up of seasoned players who have been around since 1999. Each and every member of our guild is friendly and helpful. You won't find arrogant, selfish people here. What you will find is a guild of friends who enjoy playing games and love the thrill of raiding/competition. Fun is emphasized while playing, but so is a professional attitude towards progression. We want to have fun first and foremost, these are games after all, but you won't find a bunch of crass, adolescent people here.

There is no limit to the opportunities in the ShadowGear Army. So there’s no limit to what you can learn and achieve. Whether you're interested in hardcore raiding or just casual play. We do it all:

      - World of Warcraft Sun/Mon 07:30PM - 10:30PM EST

In addition to regular raids and dungeons, you can also expect the following from our friendly, knowledgeable guild mates:
      - Assistance in questing, leveling and achievements from experienced members
      - Advice on class skills, equipment, enchantments from people who know everything about their class
      - General advice on just about any other aspect of the games we play.

ShadowGear Army has very few requirements for membership. You won't find a laundry list of things you must have or be, like other guilds. What we do require, is:
      - Intelligent, active, quick learning, and fun loving members
      - Dedication to raid times. This means showing up, ON TIME, to all required raids.
      - Mumble for required raids. Communication is paramount in any successful guild. We ask that you download Mumble and have a working microphone. You don't have to talk a lot if you don't want to, but if a raid leader needs a quick answer to a question, we expect that you have the ability to answer in voice chat.
      - A basic understanding of all instanced dungeon boss fights. This doesn't mean you have to be an expert at each fight, but if you're going to be attending a raid, we'd like for you to know the basics of the boss fights before hand. We'll be more than happy to tell you how we handle each fight, but we don't want to have to take the time to explain everything to one person. It holds up everyone else who already knows the fight. Please just take a few moments to read over or watch videos of the abilities and strategies for boss fights.

Whichever way you choose to serve, the following steps towards enlisting will help make your transition into the ShadowGear Army easier.
      - Go to the "Recruitment" tab. There you will be instructed on how to fill out an application.
      - Fill out an application and submit it

That's all there is to it. Please take a few minutes when filling our your application. Please answer every question. The more time you put into your application the more willing we'll be to consider you as an applicant. Once you fill out an application, an officer will be in contact with you. Either on the forums or in-game directly.

Surreal is a 20 man raiding guild on Draenor-EU that has been around for some time, but went inactive and became a social guild. Now Surreal is back and recruiting for Emerald Nightmare and more!
      About us:
We are a semi hardcore, english speaking raiding guild with a decent social side and activities for all. We value friendship and communication above all :) In Surreal everyone has a voice!
We operate in a drama free zone, where any individual will be able to progress in terms of skill, while still having the most important aspect of a game: Fun!
      Raiding schedule:
      Wednesday 20:15-23:30
      Thursday 20:15-23:30
      Monday 20:15-23:30
      Aim & progress:
At the moment, we are 7/7 hc and 1/7 mythic into the Emerald Nightmare. The aim is to have around 24 raiders, so we can keep the raids going whenever someone cannot make a raid.
We also want to explore other elements of the game, like pvp and achievements.
For those that like to have more alts, we will be doing split runs to have the ideal setup for mythic bosses :)
We are looking for reliable, loyal, fun and mature people to make the team and the guild a happy place and a home to be in, where raiding is as important as the social aspect :) Previous raiding experience is a big plus, but we welcome anyone that is passionate about progressing, be it someone that just came back to the game, someone that just started or a seasoned player :)
For applications you can either write an app on our forum or ask for a live interview! If accepted you will be put on a trial period for 2 weeks.
