[Frost] Trouble with constant dps against some guildmembers

Hey there.

 

im nearly despairing about my dps in HFC hc/mythic

 

At the moment i have a average ilvl from 717. some of my guildmembers have nearly the same, or even lower. No my problem is, some of them, especially one frost mage make a hell more dps than me (nearly 15-20k dps) he got nearly the same items i have and the same enchants.

Hes Arameos and im Zunthal. As you can see, he makes a lot more dps than i. at some other trys like kromok or council we had nearly the same dps. It seems my dps varied extremly.

 

Could it really be, because he got the trinket from Iskar  and i still only have PoF from Manno? i noticed already that PoF is a extremly unstable dps-push. At some points it procs perfectly, some fight it just keeps silence, or procs at some random target from your second ice lance.

 

Rotation is nearly the same, waterjet+icy veins at star, and after every Frostbolt one ice lance. frozen orb only if 3 or more adds are there, or we have to move  a longer way.

 

Could you help me out with an increase of my dps or my rotation?

 

Would be great if someone have some ideas.

I'm not sure if I'm entirely at the same level with you, but I will assume you mean that you cast a Frostbolt followed by an Ice Lance only when you have a charge of Fingers of Frost. Also, Frozen Orb should be used on cooldown to generate Fingers of Frost. The idea is generally to cast as many Ice Lances during the fight as possible +- minor priorities depending on the fight. The only reason to delay frozen orb is if like you said, there's adds coming within the next minute.

Getting the Iskar trinket should be a priority at this time. It should pair well with the Mannoroth trinket. I am still trying to get it...every time it falls another caster outrolls me.

 

Another thing; do you have 2/4 tier bonus? Does he? That also makes a big difference.

frost isn't rotation, it's reaction.  He's playing frost and reacting more quickly than you are to his procs.  tbh I'd suggest with your play style that you try arcane out, it's more rotation based / slower paced and can get better results in the end if you manage it well.
