Well known Hearthstone streamer and YouTuber Kripparrian recently made a very well received video about the changes he would make to improve Hearthstone. He points out that last time he did this, some of the things he suggested were implemented very quickly, so he thought he'd give it another go.

Firstly he covers two things that he thinks are needed that Blizzard have previously said they are working on; Deckslots and Golden Portraits. He points out that it is four or five months since Blizzard mentioned more deck slots, and seven months since the first golden portraits were released. He suggests that if new players really are confused by new deck slots, then putting them behind a small pay wall would eliminate the issue, as only people who wanted them would purchase them.

He then moves onto things he feels would improve the game further. He notes that Tavern Brawl has been a success to the point that it is now a play mode in its own right. With that in mind he'd like to see wins recorded on the Quest Log page. He'd also like to see the format be permanent, rather than three days a week. To have that happen he suggests there could be two modes at once, constructed and preconstructed/random.

He wants Arena to be more accessible. He points out that the 150 gold cost includes effectively buying a pack, and feels that this aspect could be removed to make Arena only cost 50 gold. He thinks this would get more people involved in the game, and with less pressure to win back their gold, it would be more fun. He suggests there could be a higher payout mode for more serious players. He also suggests that if this suggestion isn't implemented, then Blizzard could give out Arena vouchers as quest rewards from time to time. Both the Brawl and the Arena suggestions tie in to him wanting people to experience the whole of Hearthstone more.

With regards to constructed play, he wants to improve bad cards, which is something he has mentioned before. He doesn't like the solution for improving cards like Magma Rager, where Blizzard printed Ice Rager. He would rather existing cards were buffed.

He also suggests that Treasure Goblins would be a great thing if they popped up occasionally instead of a queued opponent. He likes Treasure Goblins, which are used in other Blizzard games, and feels they should be everywhere!

We have a new Tavern Brawl this week! Its name is Spellbook Duel.
For this Brawl, you choose your class and then you pick 10 different cards to fill your deck. Instead of drawing cards each turn, you Discover a copy of a card from your deck. If you use card drawing mechanics, like Arcane Intellect, you don't actually draw from your deck. You will, in fact, get a 1-mana spell called Peruse, which again allows you to Discover a copy of a card from your deck.
Obviously, there are a lot of possible deck combinations you can use to tackle this new Tavern Brawl. The first things that pop into mind are anything that contains Reno Jackson and Kazakus, as well as Jade Druid to extend the possibility of getting these precious Jade Idols. Once again, Mage is the clear winner of this Brawl with cards like Sorcerer's Apprentice, Arcane Intellect and Flamewaker.
Bear in mind that some cards are not recommended, since they remove cards from your Discover pool. Examples are Fel Reaver and Tracking. Moreover, cards that put another card directly into play, like Mysterious Challenger and Mad Scientist, will also make your Discover pool smaller. Lastly, according to a Reddit user, Renounce Darkness won't deduct 1 mana from the cards you discover throughout the game.
There are already a lot of disgusting decks for Spellbook Duel out there. We are waiting for your suggestions and any other useful info in the comments!
