Fury War - stat weights w/ WBR

Recommended Posts

I have a quick question regarding stat priority after obtaining World Breakers Resolve.

Is the 18% haste cap to be met still?

I did some quick checking on target dummies; in my current gear with 3.96% haste it takes ~12 seconds to proc WBR and meet the 18% haste requirement. Would you want to stack 13% haste (relying on 5% haste raid buff) on your gear? My assumption that the static haste becomes a wasted stat after maintaining ~10 seconds on a current target. I have a hard time believing it wouldn't at least drop the haste requirement to a lesser extent.

According to AskMrRobot's BIS it shows haste being stacked to 17% (using H HFC as a filter).

If you could drop 13% static haste from your gear and swap the stats for mastery wouldn't your DPS gains be more than covered by the haste gained from WBR?

Fury Warrior DPS Stat Priority - This is a link to the guide here on Icy Veins regarding Fury Warriors - specifically their stat priority. This, specifically, is what you're looking for from it:

"Note that once you acquire the Worldbreaker's Resolve class trinket, the value of Haste drops, and that of Mastery increases. This effect is so pronounced that Mastery becomes the best secondary stat."

Even with the normal version of this trinket, it gives you 2.20% haste per stack up to 10 stacks. That's 22% haste.

I hope this answers your question.

Yeah, that's essentially what I've based my build off of but have received varying information from other sources.

My other question is based on the soft 30% crit cap. Does multistrike become better than crit at some point?

With the T18 4 set bonus and WBR wouldn't the stat priority shift to Mastery (as much as possible) > Crit (no cap) > Multistrike > Haste > Versatility.

With my current build, raid buffs and procs I see >50% crit chance and the uptime on Recklessness and my enrage is extremely beneficial to my DPS.

I apologize for the delayed reply, Herbs.

  • No. This answer is not backed up mathematically or by SimulationCraft. It's just a general answer from my personal opinion. Your stat priority (in any class / spec) generally has it's base stat (strength / agility / intellect) as a priority followed by two other major stats to worry about. In the case of Fury Warriors those two stats are Mastery and Critical Strike. While gearing your warrior and looking for pieces, these three stats should be your focus. (This is, of course, taking into consideration you have your 4PC and your class trinket. Obviously, as already mentioned, Haste is important if you do not have your class trinket.)

While you could continue on down the line in stat priority with the multistrike, versatility, and haste. . . I would simply take what you get in those stats with whatever pieces have your primary stats of strength / mastery / critical strike.

With the T18 4 set bonus and WBR wouldn't the stat priority shift to Mastery (as much as possible) > Crit (no cap) > Multistrike > Haste > Versatility.

  • This has been answered in the previous post and in my previous bullet. When you have the T18 4PC and your class trinket your stat priority is Strength -> Mastery -> Critical Strike. I would not worry about multistrike, haste, or versatility to any degree. (Again - personal opinion here).

If you truly want to find out what stat does better after your three primary stats I'd suggest using SimulationCraft.

      Hey dear fury friends,
i always used Azshari Salad, as my buff food for the tempo buff. Now as mastery pulls ahead of haste in the stat weights, i asked myself whether i should just use the Nightborne Delicacy Platter for a flat mastery buff, while maintaining around ~27% Haste.

I read the guide from Archimtiros, and i think both buff foods are fine, but do u switch your buff food at a certain point? Or is it depending on the encounter (single target vs. multiple targets)?

      Greetings lacriminal

      Hi
I have one few questions concerning fury rotation:
      1. Should I use bloodbath only with Battle Cry?
      2. Should I use Rampage immediately after it is available or should I always wait for Frothing Berserker?
      3. During Enrage time, should I spam raging blow or prioritize bloodthirst then raging blow?
      4. Is CoF ilvl860 better then nightmare egg ilvl940?
      Best regards
      Susza

Beside all the builds, rotations and bis legendaries, what are the ideal stat percentages  according to their importance haste>mastery>everything else? Other than valarjar berserkers, what are the other bis leggys for single target and mythic plus dungeons?
