wow Legion Alpha: Destruction Warlocks Available!

The latest Alpha build has just gone live, which marks the introduction of Destruction Warlocks, a raised level cap and a partially new zone!

Hey all,

 

We have another alpha build going up today. This build includes a variety of revisions and bugfixes all around.

 

Broken Shore (Alliance) available - Alliance players will be given the quest "The Legion Returns" upon logging in. Follow Varian Wrynn to the Broken Shore and face off against Gul'dan in the experience that will begin your adventure into Broken Isles.

 

World Quests available - Once you level to 110, World Quests and Emissary Quests will appear on your map. This is our new approach to endgame questing in Legion. Please direct your feedback to the new World Quests forum here.

 

Notable changes focused on classes:

 

• New Specialization Unlocked – Finally, the last specialization is unlocked. We’d love any and all feedback about gameplay, artifact quest line, abilities, etc.
  • Destruction Warlock
• Class Status – We’ve made many iterations based on feedback and testing. Here are some highlights:
  • Frost Mages – Splitting Ice has returned.
  • Frost Death Knights – Many talents revised for more engaging gameplay.
  • Unholy Death Knights – Many talents revised for more engaging gameplay. Artifact ability revised further.
  • Windwalker Monks – Fists of Fury, Spinning Crane Kick, and Storm, Earth, and Fire revised to adjust AoE gameplay.
  • All Hunters – Growl threat massively increased.
  • Subtlety Rogues – Master of Shadows and Relentless Strikes swapped and revised.

With this latest build, we now have every specialisation in the game unlocked! With the level cap now up to 110, it looks like the zones are the last major features to be worked on. Fingers crossed that these will be added soon!

Just get it done already. Am i the only one who is getting irritated with how Blizzard has been teasing the hell out of this x pac in paticular for what.....6 months now and its STILL not offically beta? I feel like they are playing with fire here because the more you hype something the harder it will be to live up to expectations. Unless they don't care and know WoW only has 1 or 2 more xpacs left and they are just generating hype to front load it as much as possible to maximize profits. WoD sure felt that way, they poured all this advertising into it and made all these claims and promises and once it came out it felt like they turned their focus on to other things. I don't mind that they are taking the time to get it right but i for one am starting to loose intrest.

You know how they get it done already? They test it through alpha. They're going through the same process that they've always done. There has been very little mainstream "hype" for this x pac. Just on sites like these and what you've actively sought. This alpha is more public because they want more active feedback which means they're listening. The entitlement of the players in this game is getting pretty ridiculous. You can wait. Stop crying.

Rawklobster, actually anyone can play Alpha right now. you must have only one condition to be done. Defeat Hellfire Citadel Mythic and you are eligible to play Legion.

About testing, its better wait for a couple of moths, than have bugs, lagginig parts of the game and other unpleasant stuff.

Ye, nope. You won't get acces for clearing HFC anymore. That was like 2-3 months ago they did that. 

1st round of alpha invites were given to "important" players, hereby i mean streamers and other people with influence/knowledge on testing.

2nd round was the "Killed Archi mythic" invite round

And i think 3rd was again kinda random.
