What is the strategy against the paladin control deck?

Recommended Posts

I have figured out how to beat every control deck except for the new pally healing control deck.

They have multiple board wipes, can rez their legendaries, and can heal themselves multiple ways including 2 heals for 20 health.

For warriors and priest control decks you just need to get around their minions and unleash damage. For mage control decks you need to silence/kill their boardwipe minion and rush damage before they can kill you with spells.

But is there any main strategy for pally control?

There hasn't been a sure way discovered yet, although for warrior is holding brawl until n'zoth comes out. For priest, entomb their sylv and new rag. Sure strategies don't really exist atm because they pretty much out heal even priests even in a fatigue match.

The most you can do to deal with them is to bait out both equality and aldor, as well as keeping board clears for their big n'zoth turn.

What about the Reno Malygos Freeze mage. I just faced off against one and came out on top. Dunno if it was luck or what but my deck isn't fully optimised. with the right cards in hand  before emperor (Maly + 1 frost bolt + sorcerors apprentice) you can do a burst of 26 to 34 damage. (Maly + sorcerers apprentice + frost bolt + frost bolt +ice lance + icelance) So all his heals wont help him much. In my case apprentice got milled, but I had a coin and emperor discount on mally and spells. He thought he was safe sitting at 24.

Don't forget that ladder is full of aggro shamans. Just playing freeze to counter n'zoth pally isn't good enough, especially since so much of the healing cards are gone.
