[Silvermoon][A] <Can of worms> Legion raiding guild

<Can of Worms> is a guild that strives to be different, a guild that desires to redefine the social norms of the average WoW player and what we’ve become complacent about accepting. WoW is dead. Dead, as a social MMO. Dead, as a game where you work as a team. Dead, as an engaging experience outside of raiding or PvP.

Our goal, is to remedy this dilemma and to an extent, we already have. We formed solely due to the fact that WoW players no longer wish to help one another or form meaningful bonds through the game. They’d much rather brag about how amazing they are by linking arbitrary achievements that measure their virtual worth, or throwing around their virtual ranks, which they “worked so hard to achieve”.

Well… to put it politely, those players are scumbags and the reason that MMO gaming is on the decline, if they can’t have their instant gratification and pissing contests they’re not interested and it’s all done at the expense of other players. We do not accept that in this guild, at all. If you want to help your guild mates, make lifelong friends and enjoy your time like the days of old then our guild is the guild for you.

We’re not going to throw our guild progress in your face, it’s unremarkable and we’re fine with that as it stands with Legion around the corner. What I will say though is that our raid team has gone from 0 - 17 in the space of two weeks for some very simple reasons. We don’t care about your current experience, or your irrelevant raid progression from previous expansions. We don’t mind if you have a low item level and it’s all because we don’t have to.

See, here’s the problem with the game at the moment, everybody seems to have forgotten that they started out as a virtual nobody. At some point before they worked their way up the raid tiers and proved themselves, they were in exactly the same position. They now believe that for some reason that gives them the right to treat the people who they consider below them like dirt. It’s a total fallacy, how can new players or returning players prove themselves as good players if they’re not given the chance to? There are so many guilds (take a look) asking for ridiculous requirements and as a result they can’t fill their roster, all because they don’t want to take the time to invest in their players.

So, here we are then, offering exactly that. We will be progressing through heroic raids in Legion with every intention to progress to Mythic once our team is ready. We’re not going to be world first, or even server first, so what? In our opinion smashing through the content in two weeks is an easy way to set yourselves up for a long wait until the next tier, having gear is nice and we’ll get the gear, maybe not as fast as some sure, but fast enough to be more than relevant. Make no mistake though, we’re not a casual guild. We believe in everyone having equal say and equal respect within the guild but that goes both ways, if you want to be part of this environment we’re creating then you need to be willing to hold up your end of the deal.

We have the time and experience to teach everyone how to raid and play their classes to their maximum potential but we do not have time to hold people’s hands through raids. We will give you advice if you seek it along with the tools and environment to grow as a player but we won’t tolerate people who want a free ride, we are not a boosting guild. Now, we’re not saying you have to be the world’s best DPS, Healer or Tank but you do need to put the effort in and do your best at all times, that’s all we ask from any of our players.

Outside of raids we also run multiple events for both our raiders and socials to take part in, WoW shouldn’t be a game where you login three times a week for some loot and then disappear, there is a content drought but there’s no lack of things you can enjoy as part of a group. A group that we hope will also become fast friends.

      Guild Info:
      [Emerald Dream][A] <Scrub Squad> is a casual raiding guild, currently at 7/7H 3/3N 2/3H. We need a few more solid people to start Mythic!

      Raid Times:
      Our raid nights are Tuesday/Thursday from 8-12pm eastern.

      We're looking for people wanting to have fun while raiding and downing content. - No stress.
      We are looking for ranged and melee DPS for Mythic Progression.
      Also we run Mythic + all week and have several groups downing 11's and 12's. We hope to get up to 15 soon!
      Currently looking for:
      Tanks: No demand
      Melee DPS: Low demand (Warrior, Havoc, Windwalker, or anyone exceptional)
      Ranged DPS: High demand (Mage, Hunter, Shadow Priest, Warlock, anyone exceptional)
      Healers: No demand
      We're at 19 members looking to get a few more to sit around 20-23. New members should be ilevel 860+ but that's not firm.

      About Our Current Members:
      Most have extensive raiding backgrounds, and some come from previous hardcore raiding guilds. We're looking for a casual environment for less stressful and more fun raiding.

      What Want In Members:
      Reliable - At least 80% attendance
      Friendly - fun loving!
      Self-motivated - players who can look up boss fights and class information on their own. With limited raiding time we can't afford to spend it all explaining boss mechanics multiple times.
      Chill - we're not looking for people who cause drama or place blame on people for failure.
      Attitude - Don't be a jerk, not just to guildies, but to everyone.
      Mature, Thick skinned - we can say some pretty offensive jokes.
      Ideally skilled - but that's something that can be helped.
      On the Emerald Dream server, or willing to transfer. For running Mythic raids, players have to be on our server.
      Feel free to pop into our recruitment discord to talk to an officer or leave a message!

      Hello, so I started playing DK at the launch of legion, and have enjoyed it so far. I was initially unholy but then changed to frost recently, and am enjoying both specs except for one thing, namely my performance. So there are three frost DK's in my raid and lately the other two are always towards the top of the meter while I'm towards the bottom. There is no large gear difference (I think they both have a couple ilvls on me, but I have the legendary belt), so I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Upon looking at logs I found they both casted significantly more spells than me on all fronts (FS, obliterate, etc.). I also noticed that I need to keep icy talons up more, but can someone tell me why I'm casting so many fewer spells than them (there is no large haste difference, the armory has us all at 30something% haste, even though one of them (Hungerghost) and I only have 20something, and I'm sure the same applies to the other DK), or if there is some other problem, then what is it and how can I fix it? Thanks.

      So,
      Which trinket should I be using (obviously arms warriors are not concerned with iLvl because Mastery is desired over strength.
      I have the 820 iLvl trinket from a timewarped dungeon and that with heroism, Battle Cry, Potion, trinket use, could provide an extreme amount of dps burst which is also on a 1.5m CD. It seems like an obvious choice but I wanted to hear any thoughts or opinions that people have since I'll be losing 500+ static mastery. Also, the use effect gives around 20-24% increased damage during colossus smash.
      Thoughts?...

      Hey there, and thanks for checking in!
      ----------------------------------------------
      Tempted has been around for a good couple of years, having our ups and downs as the years went on. We've always been a Casual Social Raiding guild, but we do like progression.
      We mostly focus on the PvE aspects of the game as a guild, but at times some of us find enjoyment in what PvP has to offer too.
      When it comes to raiding, we keep it cool, the jokes keep flowing and we have a great time! It's never going to be a shouting match or raging during raids.
      ----------------------------------------------
      Tempted is recruiting to allow us to expand on our current raid group and progression. Currently we are mainly looking at Ranged/Melee DPS and a healer (Shaman/Paladin) to expand on our main group.
      That doesn't mean we won't be accepting anything other than the mentioned roles. If you think you'll fit in, let me/us know!
      Tempted is also not a parental guidance guild, we are all adults and the chat can sometimes reflect that, but the guild atmosphere is always great!
      Being Social and helpful is another great aspect that we offer, as guild chat and Discord is always going!
      ----------------------------------------------
      Raid days/times:
      * Wednesday
      * Friday
      * Sunday
      7:45 pm - 11:00 pm (server time)
      ----------------------------------------------
      Thanks for taking the time to read this, hope to see you soon in our guild!
      ~ Mungu
      Officer of <Tempted>
