Item Lets You Avoid Getting De-masqueraded

You can buy Shimmerfield Crystals from a vendor in Suramar.

Reddit strikes again! Now, I realize this might be another of those things where everyone knew this but me, but on the off-chance there's someone else out there without this I felt I had to mention it. Redditor Argentha shared this proest of tips, possibly the most relevant one I've heard in the entire game ever: in Suramar, next to the Waning Crescent portal exit, there's an NPC called Jacin that sells Shimmerfield Crystals that put you into stealth when your Masquereade is broken:

Now, before you start jumping around in joy like I did, note that it does NOT work when you're mounted, since it cancels the effect. That does reduce it's usability to a degree, but it's till the best item ever for those extremely annoying elite quests where everyone and their mother is a detector. Unfortunately you can't just pop it just as you're about to get caught while mounted since it has a cast time. It lasts 5 mins, has a 3 minute cooldown period and you can buy multiples.

So huge thanks to Argentha, and everyone else that mentioned this even sooner on reddit. You may now tell me how everyone already knew this and how silly I look!

Nice. This'll be a life saver when it comes to the quests when there are mobs that can see through all around

Like I mention in the article, I have started HATING those elite quests in Suramar. Basically you cannot get to your party without bringing with you 50 mobs and then there's that awkward decision of do you stay and let them deal with the shit you just dragged in or do you try to run past them and "lose" the tail, except you never can and just wind up aggroing MORE mobs and dying. This will be a lifesaver.

At this point in time I only do suramar in tank mode and if I pull something by mistake I just go rambo, gorefiends grasp everything, and end up fighting an entire city block at a time. Works fine except for the right side of the city where even the basic adds are basically raid bosses.

Just in case you did not know this aswell:

Throughout suramar you can find plenty of baskets to hide in, whenever your disguise breaks just hop into one and reapply your disguise before exiting. saved my marbles from those 'tails' you're talking about more than once.

I actually did know this and yet have NEVER seen one, let alone been able to use one to hide in.

It can be tough when you have an entire city all running at you, ready to beat the crap out of you in a heartbeat!

Fleeing from mobs in Suramar an hiding in baskets feels like Assassin's Creed.

So does flying around the rooftops double jumping all over the place! Man when I play my alt after my DH main I feel like I'm playing a cheap knok-off game...

Pardon me, Jacin, I need to throw gold at you.

If I'd known about these yesterday (When the hubby and I started the Statecraft chain) I would have hated that run a lot less.

I feel like the Spongebob meme that got thrown at Overwatch fits perfectly in Suramar tbh..

"AN ILLUSION? WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?"

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale

We've looked at the Mythic+ Tier List for the first time in Patch 10.2.6!
