BM Hunter stat priority

5 posts in this topic

I was trying to maximize my DPS as BM, but I'm unsure about stat priority... several sites have conflicting information. What do you guys think is the best for BM?

Icy Veins says: Agil > Mastery > Haste > Crit > Vers

Noxxic says: Agil > Mastery > Crit > Vers > Haste

Edit: Found the answer in another thread, don't know how to delete this.

It's always the way with the different sites. You can just leave the thread open. Can you share what you found and where for those that might ask the same questions?

Noxxic doesn't choose Crit because they think it's better for any real reason, they literally ran a sim, took it at face value and said that was the best way to go which is obviously idiocy.

Sorry, but i don´t really understand that right now, i play bm and i tried and tested to sim with more crit than haste. At the end, everything looked like crit is better than haste for BM.

I think its obvisous that crit is much better, cause we get our procss on BW from crit, not from haste like the MM gets his proccs.

Or am i doing wrong?

Got a really annoying discussion yesterday with one of our MM hunters.. Nythendra HC, Head drops (titanforged). We both got a head ilvl 840 Mastery/haste.

In our raid, we decide after BiS stats right now in HC who get the item, and then we can discuss among us.

I told him i need more Crit, cause my gear is really on haste right now., and i said, that he needs Haste anyway as MM.

Sidestory: He got a fix Mythic+ group where they can farm Odyn for Mastery/Haste Head on Mythic 5+ for example.. And I´m not having this, cause i simply don´t have the Time for that. :(

So, that item is much better for me as BM that for him as MM.

So i would say Agi -> Mastery -> Crit -> Versatility/Haste

Can you share the sims you used to find this?

Hi guys ! I just want to ask how much my BM haste and mastery at least should be ? been googling about it and I can't seem to find anything about it.
      currently I'm at:
      Haste: 17.4%
      Mastery: 76.07%

Hey everyone. I'm worried that my time invested in BM is for not. However, with the changes coming to MM, my thoughts are that BM may still be a viable raiding spec. I enjoy BM because of its freedom of movement.  A dead hunter does no damage, and that my motto. With that being said, I want to be sure I'm maximising my damage output. I'm currently waiting on some drops, namely trinkets, which I've been incredibly unlucky with, but other than that, I'm geming for mastery, and enchanting agi where needed. Currently, in raids, with flasks and potions, I've been ranging in dps from about 265-310, depending on the fight.  Given my gear, I feel like I should be doing more. I'm unsure if I'm hitting a ceiling with BM, or if it is something I'm doing wrong. I've been following the standard rotation posted on icy-veins, and even under normalized conditions on training dummies (no flasks etc...), under 2-3 min rotations, I've been peaking at around 270k dps. Any thoughts on this?

      My main three classes are:

      BM Hunter
      Prot Paladin
      Disc Priest
Is the Potion of Prolonged Power (increases all stats by 2,500 for 1 minute) better than Deadly Grace?

So lately i have bin running around as BM a lot and i noticed something and i have no clue if is this is a bug or some hidden BM mechanic so i came here for info once again :D!!!
Sometimes when i use Kill Command on monster under 25% life it has no CD and i can spam it until either the monster is dead or i run out of focus and it happens every now and then and i looked through all my passiv Abilitys and those of my pet that i maybe missed something by chance but i found nothing am i the only one this is happening to or is this happening to more people and if somebody knows how the hell this works i would love to know since that could change a lot

Thanks in Advance & Happy Gaming
