Subterfuge and Glyph of Vanish

In some guides, like the one on icy veins, theinv_glyph_majorrogue.jpgGlyph of Vanish is not recommend. Anyway I'm testing this glyph and I'm confused. How does it work with subterfuge? While testing on dummies, sometimes the stealth seems to last longer than 5 seconds, sometimes not.

it sounds to me your confused on how its supposed to work, the glyph of vanish allows to you to go for 5 seconds staying stealthed while taking damage and harmful effect as to 3 seconds which means if you attach something it will break stealth after 3 secodns if you have subterfuge on, if you dont have subterfuge on it will break instantly. It doesnt work in conjuction with subterfuge and allow you to attack for 5 seconds stealthed, you can still only attack for 3 stealthed.

I just tested it on a dummy. I cast vanish and immediately ambush (less than 0.5 second after vanish). I stayed for 8 seconds in stealth and could cast ambush three times... When I cast vanish and immediately ambush only once, the stealth last for 8 seconds too. When I cast vanish, wait for 2 seconds then cast ambush, the stealth last for 5 seconds (since vanish). When I cast vanish, wait for 3 seconds then cast ambush, the stealth last about 6-7 seconds...Posted Image

I also tested it and I can confirm that after Vanish wears out (which is after Subterfuge wearing out), a new Subterfuge is activated. In essence, when you cast Vanish and it ends after 5 seconds (with the Glyph), Subterfuge comes up again (which essentially gives you 8 seconds to Ambush).

      Converge has been around since WoW Vanilla and has been raiding together since Molten Core; most of our members have been playing together for years. In its older days, when most of us where young, we were more raid focused and demanded a lot from our members. Over the years we had to adjust our playtime and priorities with a growing list of RL responsibilities and are now, for all intents and purposes, a semi-casual raiding guild.
      At this point in time we are trying to round out our roster and eventually attempt Mythic raids once we feel comfortable with our raid composition.

      Here on Icy Vein's under the Arms Warrior DPS guide here is the recommended relic choice. I was under the impression that [Exploit the Weakness] was our top priority even if it meant 20-25iLvl difference. Since it would increase the proc chance by a factor of x2 with all three relics increasing Tacticians...
      Why does this guide on Icy Veins say otherwise? Is it because the information is out of date and hasn't been updated?

      Unfortunately this is not someting I can just run a Sim on because I don't currently have any [Exploit the Weakness] relics.

      Which trinket should I be using (obviously arms warriors are not concerned with iLvl because Mastery is desired over strength.
      I have the 820 iLvl trinket from a timewarped dungeon and that with heroism, Battle Cry, Potion, trinket use, could provide an extreme amount of dps burst which is also on a 1.5m CD. It seems like an obvious choice but I wanted to hear any thoughts or opinions that people have since I'll be losing 500+ static mastery. Also, the use effect gives around 20-24% increased damage during colossus smash. 
      Thoughts?...
