I feel like my dps is way to low

Recommended Posts

Hey

Well to start off my ilvl at this moment is 859 with stats 24190 agility, 33% (6316) crit, 7% (2268) haste, 24% (10559) mastery and 1% (401) versa

The dps i pull in raids is around 220k to 260k which i feel is low for my ilvl, i try to look at what i can do diffrently by looking up guides but i can't seem to find anything, i was hoping someone here could help me?

This is a link to my latest warcraft logs https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/18812718/latest/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The one thing I noticed is that I can see you have good burst at the start of fights, but on fights that are going beyond 3 minutes, with the MM Bullseye and Rapid Killing traits, your dps should be seeing a massive increase in the execute phase.

It doesn't look like it goes up at all towards the end of the fights (Minus Xavius from what I can see). You have 15 seconds where you should be pumping out an incredible amount of dps with 1m+ crits all over the place but I'm not seeing much happening towards the end of your fights.

Are you using TS on cooldown or are you saving for sub 30%? Trueshot during execute phase makes MM hunters an absolute monster on the charts - if you're not saving it for the execute phase then that's one change you need to make immediately.

Edit: Upon further reflection, I think you need to talk to Wenyo and get them to explain to you what they do and try and follow that. Dragons and Elerethe are great fights for hunters and you didn't seem to do

Your Three-Toed Rabbit Foot and your boots need to be replaced ASAP - you want mastery on every piece of armour and almost any trinket would sim higher than a haste trinket.

I think your dps is good (when you stay alive the whole fight :p).

You are playing with players who have 10+ ilvl for the most, and have classes than can pull out more dps than a mm hunter (and are playing pretty well according to their ranking).

This makes you feel that your dps is low, but i think you're not so bad.

Epic ranking on this log, so your rotation / optimisation seems good :

I use TS when hero pops which is mostly at the start of the fight, should i save it for execute phase?

TS should be used at the start of a fight if it's going to go for more than the 2 min 30 (correct me if I'm wrong, I almost entirely play BM these days) and then as soon as you get to the execute phase when you can get the chance to build up those stacks from Bullseye.

TS is at it's most powerful sub 30% of a mob's HP.

If you try it out or even if you have to save it til sub 30%, your dps will more than make up for that lack of burst at the start. Hope that helps man.

u are talking about the golden trair right? bullseye

it's at 20% :p but thanks for all the help ^^ i'll try it

Ooops! Like I said, mostly BM these days haha! But yeah, if the fight has enough time for 2 TS, save it for sub 20% and don't use it straight off cooldown, but if the fight is going to be ~3 mins or sub 3 mins, save it for execute phase.

Hope that helps man, you'll see a huge change just from that!

Raid/Class Spots Are Open To Any Applicant If The Player Is The Right Fit
A guild formed with an ambition for progression and a love for M+ we decided to make the move from Silvermoon Alliance and form a guild to take our focus to the next level, Cutting Edge in 10.1 being the next step.
We believe in building a guild by recruit players of a similar goal and mentality whether it be for raiding or for push score in Mythic plus. We value loyalty, honesty and a positive attitude towards setbacks. Communication skills are an absolute must.
      Raid Schedule
      Wednesday 20:30-23:00 Sunday 20:30-23:00
      Current Progression
      9/9HC 5/9M
What are we looking for recruitment wise?
We're currently open to recruiting DPS classes listed above, as we aim to solidify a stable 25-player roster. We're looking to provide competition to existing members and choose the best 25 players to proceed with for next tier.
      Contact Information:
      Discord; tomsen and lora1506
Think you'd be a good fit?
If you believe that you are a player that is looking to achieve the same goals as us then why not contact us and see if we can achieve our goals together!

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes.
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30PM to 8:30PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.
We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a *filtered*, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing. You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights.  Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://gow.gg/fun-is-for-casuals under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.

Welcome Adventurers! The time has come upon us, FINALLY! The moment in Classic WoW history us diehard, loyal WoW nerds have all been waiting for. WRATH CLASSIC! Arthas Did Nothing Wrong (ADNW) has just begun recruiting (For WotLK Classic) hard-core, casual, rp, pvp, pve, raiders, anything you can think of, you are welcomed here. Although our main focus in ADNW will be progressive raiding, 10 and 25 man and pvp content, we look to have someone for just about anything. Currently we are recruiting for our CORE 10M team composed entirely of irl / internet homies. We are in need of just 1 HEALER (Highly prefer a disc priest with a shadow off spec) and another DPS. Preferably lock or Shadow priest. We are looking to fill our B 10m team entirely, so we can pool together for 25 man’s when it comes time to crush 25m. This guild was founded by a group of tight nit friends recently, who have been around since TBC. WOTLK was our turning point in WoW, and we CANNOT wait to get another crack at this and MAKE IT RIGHT. Come join the adventure of a chill environment full of helpful hands and knowledge. Feel free to reach out to me Via Discord: Daevilmonkiexp#9239 OR Bnet: Daevilmonkie#1280 just let me know you are interested in the guild and we can have a convo! ARTHAS DID NOTHING WRONG!

      Raid Times
Tuesday 19:30 to 23:00 Realm Time
Thursday 19:30 to 23:00 Realm Time
      Approach to Raiding
We have a relaxed and chilled approach to raiding, but still expect people to make an effort.
As long as you don't show up freshly dinged in levelling greens, and make an effort to improve your gear and skills and show up to raids,
that is all we expect. We are here to enjoy ourselves, not push logs.
      About us
We are a chilled community who enjoys hanging out in discord while playing the game.
Karazhan is on farm, we are now looking to bolster our ranks to create a solid reliable 25 man raid team moving forward.
      What We Offer
A mature environment for levelling and group play
Progressive but relaxed end game experience
A fun, helpful and inclusive atmosphere
      What We Expect
People willing to help build and grow a serious, successful and fun TBC raiding guild. We don’t care about your spec, everyone is welcome. While we are a casual guild, we still expect people to make an effort. Showing up freshly dinged in levelling greens won’t make the raiding experience fun for anyone.
      Our Aims
Our aims are to clear all the raid content in tbc in a relaxed and fun way. We were close to 25 raiders at 70 and ready to start raiding, but a lot of people quit the game and we are in need of new recruits for our 25-man raid teams. Anyone just interested in chilling in discord and to get to know new people are also welcome.

      Hi Team
I am recently returning from a few years away from the game and I have decided to go back to my much loved main throughout wrath, the feral druid. I have always been a cut above the rest and managed to be top dps all through wrath.
I was reading your guide and noticed in the talents you don't take savage roar. Can you explain the match behind this as to me it seems like the more viable option.
