Patch 7.2: Class Mounts & Flying Overview

Recommended Posts

pfpRmao.jpg

Each class will be receiving their own unique flying-enabled class mount at the end of the Legion experience on the Broken Isles coming in Patch 7.2.

When it comes to flying on the Broken Isles, yesterday's panel unveiled some details.

  • Ion confirmed flying on the Broken Isles would be added in the form of a prerequisite Legion Pathfinder achievement.
    • You will have to experience Legion outdoor content to unlock flying, such as earning Exalted with the Armies of Legionfall faction that will be introduced in Patch 7.2.
    • All Class Order Halls will have new quests available and finishing them is also needed for the Broken Isles Pathfinder.
      • You'll have to explore Broken Isles, Breach the Tomb etc for Part. II.
    • Once unlocked, you will gain access to flying on all your characters, across your entire account.

Here are the class mounts that are coming in Patch 7.2. Note that each class has a unique design and they vary per specialization, as hinted by Ion's tweet.

Pete sake, it could have been an updated Argent/Silver Hand Hyppo... but no.  Horse.  Magical winged horse, I'm guessing.  Like warlock perhaps?

It really does suck. I can only pray they update it before they release.

So, once we complete everything and unlock the class mounts, they are unlocked for all toons across our account. I'm wondering though, at what level are they available for the rest of our characters? Will they require all toons to be 110 or will we be able to ride them at level 20? Maybe somewhere in between?

I would assume they will gate them to 110, since "lore-wise", you're meant to be riding it because of your standing in your class order. A level 20 Paladin is nothing, at least in those terms.

Hey guys! Do we know, or assume, if we will need to reach exalted rep with all the factions (except the new one and the Nightfallen) for Pathfinder part 2? Or just revered for the Diplomat achievement in pt 1?

We have to be exalted with the new Armies of the Legionfall faction, breach the Tomb, finish our class campaign and explore the Broken Shore, most of the content is added with Patch 7.2.

Oh cool cause I rerolled and if exalted rep with the other factions was required, I would either have to play with my old character or redo all the reps and I'm so not up for that :p Thanks mate!!

Doing the reps kind of happens anyway when doing WQs, no?

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.

      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
