[Grim Batol][A]<Code Geass> 3/7M LF a healer and DPS

1 post in this topic

<Code Geass> [3/7M] (EU-GrimBatol-Alliance)

We are a guild consisting of experienced and skilled players that all have high goals for the guild's progression.

We log all our encounters, so if you are interested to look at the general percentiles in our group, feel free to check them out here:
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/kcWDhCVMKg84a1Lp#type=damage-done

We are currently looking for a healer (DPriest, MV Monk, Resto Druid prefered) and dps' (SPriests, Warlock, Ret Paladin, Rogue, Shaman and a Feral Druid prefered). However, we accept applications from all classes and specs.

What we expect from our raiders is dedication (doing mythic+, learning their class and playing the game), experience in raiding and skill in general. We also expect a microphone and TS3 installed and ready to go.

We are aiming at a top 5-3 spot on the realm in the future, which is definitely something we can achieve. Our main problem so far has not been wiping, it as been attendance. This is due to the fact that it's challenging recruiting at Grim-Batol, we had to cancel several raids due to this, which is something that we are trying to fix right now. However, the roster and the players in it are all very skilled, which is the reason why we are all so motivated to keep on recruiting so we can start challenging top realm spot for real.

If you are interested, please leave a comment here or PM me. We will be interviewing you through TS3, where me and another officer will be conducting the interview.

Feel free to leave a comment or a PM if you have further questions, or add my btag Liky#21695.

      Guild Info:
[Emerald Dream][A] <Scrub Squad> is a casual raiding guild, currently at 7/7H 3/3N 2/3H. We need a few more solid people to start Mythic!

      Raid Times:
Our raid nights are Tuesday/Thursday from 8-12pm eastern.

We're looking for people wanting to have fun while raiding and downing content. - No stress.
We are looking for ranged and melee DPS for Mythic Progression.
Also we run Mythic + all week and have several groups downing 11's and 12's. We hope to get up to 15 soon!
      Currently looking for:
      Tanks: No demand
Melee DPS: Low demand (Warrior, Havoc, Windwalker, or anyone exceptional)
Ranged DPS: High demand (Mage, Hunter, Shadow Priest, Warlock, anyone exceptional)
      Healers: No demand
We're at 19 members looking to get a few more to sit around 20-23. New members should be ilevel 860+ but that's not firm.

      About Our Current Members:
Most have extensive raiding backgrounds, and some come from previous hardcore raiding guilds. We're looking for a casual environment for less stressful and more fun raiding.

      What Want In Members:
Reliable - At least 80% attendance
      Friendly - fun loving!
Self-motivated - players who can look up boss fights and class information on their own. With limited raiding time we can't afford to spend it all explaining boss mechanics multiple times.
Chill - we're not looking for people who cause drama or place blame on people for failure.
Attitude - Don't be a jerk, not just to guildies, but to everyone.
Mature, Thick skinned - we can say some pretty offensive jokes.
Ideally skilled - but that's something that can be helped.
On the Emerald Dream server, or willing to transfer. For running Mythic raids, players have to be on our server.
Feel free to pop into our recruitment discord to talk to an officer or leave a message!

Hello, so I started playing DK at the launch of legion, and have enjoyed it so far. I was initially unholy but then changed to frost recently, and am enjoying both specs except for one thing, namely my performance. So there are three frost DK's in my raid and lately the other two are always towards the top of the meter while I'm towards the bottom. There is no large gear difference (I think they both have a couple ilvls on me, but I have the legendary belt), so I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Upon looking at logs I found they both casted significantly more spells than me on all fronts (FS, obliterate, etc.). I also noticed that I need to keep icy talons up more, but can someone tell me why I'm casting so many fewer spells than them (there is no large haste difference, the armory has us all at 30something% haste, even though one of them (Hungerghost) and I only have 20something, and I'm sure the same applies to the other DK), or if there is some other problem, then what is it and how can I fix it? Thanks.
(will update these links if they're not working (I got an SSL error))

We are a small guild of raiding/progression focused individuals who seek like minded people to join us! Despite the name, we are a friendly and mature guild. Our members have varied backgrounds, from Vanilla raiders, to people who started playing in Legion.
We are currently 6/7 HC and we are pushing for Heroic HOV and eventually Nighthold  in the next 1 to 2 weeks. Our immediate requirements are as follows:
      •    Ranged DPS – 850+
      •    Healers – 850+
      •    Exceptional DPS.
However we are open to all applications, also Anger Management and our team are happy to help any people who are wanting to progress into raiding.
We have our own Discord channel which we use to communicate whilst raiding therefore a working headset and microphone is required. We also do Transmog runs, Mythic+ dungeons and PvP.
So, if you're interested in becoming Angry with us, add me on Battle.net (Dab#21625) and I'll have a chat with you in game.

A reddit user shared some highlights of his exploration of Vanilla, TBC and WotLK using a variety of tricks.

A lot of us who've played Vanilla at some point went and visited Hyal by suiciding through the inactive raid portal, but there were other ways to creatively explore the world around as well. Redditor jarrodnb recently remembered his time in TBC/early WotLK and how he would use the jump bug (where you wouldn't fall off a slope, regardless of how steep it was, if you timed it just right), among other things, to take a look at some of the less often seen vistas and quite a few secrets hidden away behind terrain (remember, at the time you could only fly in Outland, so a lot of these vantage points may seem normal to you, but were very special back then).
There's a whole album of his exploits (both in the "game breaking" and  the "interesting things he did" sense) and you should really give it a look, as it has interesting comments about the zones and how he got there and plays out like one big story. Here are some highlights:

"I had always wondered where Nightbane was before he flew onto the balcony"

"Next up, I had heard about the early "outland" hidden away in VC."

"Looks like an early version of Howling Fjord is tucked away inside UK. I can't believe how many secrets are hidden away inside the instanced versions of dungeons"

"I eventually worked up the courage to actually explore GM island, so I busted out my old "bridge" file. One of my "mates" said in "type /who gm island" in trade chat, I was spammed with randoms asking how I got there. I quickly logged off in terror."

Big thanks to jarrodnb for sharing (part of) his exploration journey and reminding us of our own exploration attempts (even if it was just swimming around the edges of the continents)!
