Legendary Bad Luck Clarification

Recommended Posts

This is only magnified by the fact that some of the legendaries are absurdly powerful, while others are literally worse than 860 ilvl items, and the worst legendaries are the ones that EVERYONE can get(neck and ring), which exacerbates the problem.

They are at least working to try make them better (changes in 7.1.5 to legendaries) so that people are no longer disappointed when receiving something that should be awesome. Sephuz wasn't bad before (especially not in M+), now with the interrupt proc too, it has become better in raids and even better in M+.

The buff to Prydaz is also pretty awesome, since now taking damage doesn't affect it at all. It could genuinely be pretty damn useful.

Why are you assuming all of these nonsensical ideas about how the points should be awarded based on content.  His point already covered how the points would be awarded and increase for different levels of mythic+ dungeons but I am guessing you failed to read his entire post.  It wouldn't be hard to apply those same ideas to PVP or raid content.

If it is that it isn't hard, then answer my post. Please do the following for me and tell me what should get more points:

  • Mythic +15 with the easiest affixes in Maw of Souls or winning an RBG game at 2450 rating?
  • Mythic Helya kill that is completed for the first time 5 weeks after release or winning 5 games of 3v3 at 2800 rating?
  • Mythic +12 HoV in 15 minutes or Mythic +15 HoV in 45 minutes?
  • RBG win at 2200 or 3v3 win at 2400?

You can't just have the different content mediums completely unbalanced in the way they award points. In order to do a points system, you need to find how much each activity should reward. You can't turn around to PvPers and say, sorry, you get less points because PvP is easier. You can't turn around to PvEers and say, sorry, you get less points because PvE is easier.

You need balance, or you have a large portion of your community unhappy because they are being rewarded unfairly for the activities they are taking part in.

Again, it takes 10 hours to level to 110, so you've spend 80+ hours leveling and not playing a 110 toon.  Yet you're trying to voice your extremely biased opinion on the legendary loot system.  Unless you play 16 hours a day you've sacrificed a good chunk of time at 110 where you could have potentially looted a legendary piece of gear.  It is simple cost-benefit and I will ask again.  How does you leveling toons make you qualified to have such a biased opinion on the legendary loot system not being broken?

I don't understand why you believe that I am not "qualified" to discuss this? What has being qualified got to do with this in the slightest?

Are we going to start comparing our achievement points and raiding experience to check if one of us is qualified? I still have over 13 days /played at 110 on the main character, surely that is enough to call it my main? I level alts because I have to understand classes at 110 so that I can do the job I am supposed to do.

You know trying to dismiss anyone's opinion that isn't similar to or in line with yours, along with being condescending towards people with different opinions is very easily defined in one word that I mentioned in an earlier post.

Once again, you're not adding anything to this discussion. You're just picking apart my comment with stupid remarks that, in honesty, have no grounding whatsoever.

The whole point of our forum is for people to come and share their opinions, their ideas. They should be open to criticism and, if they wish, respond with information that further backs up what they initially said. It is not for you to get upset when someone tells you your idea is a bad one. If you want to defend your idea, do so with proper discussion about it. Don't do it by throwing your hands up and just throwing out personal attacks.

War Within Alpha should be just around the corner! When do we expect the latest expansion testing to start?
If you've been keeping an eye on the World of Warcraft 2024 roadmap, you're likely excited about what's coming up! According to the roadmap, the War Within Alpha is expected to kick off sometime after Patch 10.2.6, which was released two weeks ago, and before the beginning of Season 4.

Typically, a season lasts 22 weeks. Right now, we're in the 20th week of Season 3, with just about two weeks left. Let's break down the hypothetical timeline:
Season 3 Week 20: Week of March 26 Season 3 Week 21: Week of April 2 Season 3 Week 22: Week of April 9 Season 4 Week 1: Week of April 15 This schedule suggests that the War Within Alpha could potentially launch as early as next week or during the week of April 9.
The most recent news from the War Within camp came on March 27, when Blizzard rolled out a fresh encrypted internal build on the WoW Dev CDN. The internal builds are becoming more and more frequent which indicates Blizzard's ramping up to start testing in the very near future.
Placeholder for tweet 1772901807448052151 In the meantime, we encourage you to check out everything coming in the War Within pre-patch that will release 1 month before the actual expansion.

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
