Desecrated weapon sais it is cast on random players. Alltho some guildies of mine don't agree with me that it will prefer ranged players, but only if there are enough of them.
For example, we had a few different goes at it.
1) 5 ranged stayed at ranged, spawned on them everytime, how ever i had it once on myself as a melee, but i wasn't in melee range just yet. Same we had that it was cast on the offtank, i think it's for the same reason, main tank not kiting the boss fast enough to the melee.
2) We kept our 2 healers at range and all the dps (melee + ranged) stacked on the tanks. It was cast on a melee dps (he was in melee range).

So my conclusion is that i does prefer ranged positioned players. But only if you have at least 4 or  5 of them that are not in melee range. maybe 3 cause i don't know about that.

Wolfriders you can interrupt the chain lightning as well. the first 2 that appear in the fight are mostly hit by the star and not staying alive long after :)
The 3rd one however will only get hit by the star if he is dazed like the BM monks kegs. If not , he'll be in the fight longer.
On that one we do ignore chaing lightning just cause we had 2 players that we could rely on the interrupts and sometimes it wasn't off cd yet for the 2nd chain heal.
However, we did used to interrupt everything on that one, and some peeps feared he would insta cast at 4 stacks.. NOT, you still got more then enough time to press a button :) you do need to focus on it ofcourse!

That is correct.  What you will want to ideally do is have a group of ranged players (maybe healers also) move out ~5 seconds before the weapon is thrown.  Anyone that is outside of melee range can be targeted (this includes melee) but a minimum of 5 (in 25m) must be in ranged for it to be thrown onto them.

A few Heroic mode things:

1) Kor'kron Warbringers melee for Shadow damage, not Physical damage on Heroic mode. So you want to use abilities that mitigate magic damage against them.

2) Malice can be soaked with Immunities and it will count as a proper soak. You will not take damage nor will you get a stack.

3) You cannot use Devotion Aura to immune the spell lock from Iron Star Explosion in Phase 4, you have to simply not be casting (or use an alternate spell school; for instance, you can still Divine Star while locked).

Additional (primarily 25 man specific) strategies include using the "AFK" strategy for the 2nd transition (simply allowing the boss to get his energy, not damaging him, and dealing with Empowered Desecrate after the 2nd transition), and using a Brewmaster Monk to kite Minions of Y'shaarj in lieu of spreading and killing them (he can also serve as the Iron Star fixate target).

For heroic 25m,  When we go into the Temple of the Jade serpent (1st transition)  Do we need to engage all groups of adds immediately? or can we kill the front and middle groups and THEN engage the backs ones?

Basically I'm asking if there is a timer before the back ones start casting, or do they have to be engaged before they start casting?

Once you engage the first pack, you engage the entire room.

I don't know 25-man, but for 10-man the first three automatically engage but the back two engage when you actually engage them in combat.

Sounds strategy based.  I watched you guys' video and you engage all 5 at the same time because 25 man has that luxury.  In 10 man, the back two backs don't engage (thankfully) because there'd be no way to contain 5 packs with 2 people each.

Hello, I come here for some info, cos it's hard to find it it seems. Our raid is havin some real trouble with the temple of the red crane, the one with the 2 embodied despairs. I'ts always 1 side that dies immediatly, or sometimes we both die, it's like totally random, we tried different tacs, to like let tanks turn em around first, and then attack or taunt... The problem isn't the splitting up or stuff, nor is it dps attackin first. And can't find real info on it, is it like a cone attack, or should we stack? Never ever had any troubles before and all of a sudden we like wipin on it very often, I took 4*embodied despair on me before I died, it can't be just outheal it? Is it bugged? guess not since I couldn't find anyone else on the net. Any help would be appreciated. Thank u in advance.

You'll really want to split the groups into equal DPS. Once 1 side kills the Embodied Despair, the other will cast Ultimate Despair At this point you'll want your healers/tanks to ask for a minor CD. You may also try stunning the add, but I am not 100% sure that will negate the channeled attack.
