MW 5.4 Crit

Recommended Posts

My main question is about that in 5.4 crit seems to be to stat to stack. The reason for this is the new mana tea is the best I can gather?

I couldn't seem to find a current stat weight (specifically for Mr.Robot) of how much spirit and haste should be gotten before I should start stacking just crit.

Here is my armory http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/thrall/Monksonius/simple

And my Mr.Roboto http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/gear/usa/thrall/monksonius

I'm not sure if you can read my weights on that Robto page or not.

I read the the spirit I should cap at is 5100 but other than that I can not find an exact weight of what stats I need to focus on after that.

Sorry, if I'm being dumb and missed this somewhere else in the forums.

Thanks in advance though for any answers. biggrin.png

So, crit has been the stat to stack since Throne of thunder came out. (Maybe even before then in really high gear levels) since crit gives you more mana tea and does more healing than haste or mastery.

Basically you should stack crit and keep a low spirit build.

I'm going to completely re-vamp the Mr. robot weights soon because I feel that +120 int socket bonus might count for something, or at the very least to make them more "readable"

So I read that the highest you want your spirit is 5100 if you have the Legendary Meta Gem. Should I add that as a hard cap on spirit? Somone else In my guild said I should aim for the 6414 haste. Should I do that or would I be wasting too many gems on haste to get there?

Also, with how much stacking up and aoe'ing in SoO is RJW better than Xuen?

IMO you go for the highest haste breakpoint that requires less than maybe 4 gems(just made this up) and you dont drop below 35% ish crit.

Im at the 9158 breakpoint with 33.6% crit and it works for me. I set my mr robot spirit to 5K but i have 8900 even though im reforging out of it on all my pieces except 1.

RJW can have its uses but i find it can be very mana intensive so i find i am only using it during meta procs or Thok.

Most of the normal SoO fights i have used Xuen for the extra dps (Korvens amber casing on paragons, Darkshaman cleaving, spoils cleave etc).

RJW was good for thok and had its uses for garrosh as we move as a group from the desecrated weapons.

Xuen is my preferred talent beacuse it does dps and some heals but its also a set and forget CD style talent and has no impact at all on my mana management or positioning.

Im sure there are many different arguments for which talent to use and when so this is just my opinoin :)

This.  and thats 35% raid buffed (so about 30% unbuffed)

Also, IMO crit > haste(to breakpoint with little haste gems) > spirit > mastery.

Even though spirit is useless past 5100, so is mastery, and spirit at least lets you overextend your mana if you screw up a lot or just want to waste mana to push numbers.

Thanks for all the help in explaining this. I just cam back from a break since Terrace and I was still weighing my stats for that. This should definitely help my healing :D

What about spirit without legendary meta gem?

It shouldn't matter too much since the mana tea chug change. As I've said in the :how to ask for help with MW monks" thread just go for the low spirit cap and see how it feels.  If you think you need you need more just go up.

I still cant find the edited weights we should be trying to use. I look at Krazymonk and Brewmonksta on robot and they seem to be both default builds, and i look at the 1 posted above which has spell power at 0 and 3145 haste cap?

Hi Alan,

I'd always raid in 10man and I found out that the best way to learn how to manage your mana properly, is to make a hardswitch to the less spirit possible and learn how to use your spells properly.

That being said, if you find yourself with little to no mana, no matter what you do, putting a 8k spi cap is viable. If you can't manage your mana with 8k spi, I think is more a gameplay/rotation issue than stats. You shouldn't have to go to 10k, that seems a little too much imo.

Hope it helped.

Krazyito;  have you by chance redid the stat weight like you were planning?  I hate to bother and ask, but I'm horrible with the numbers, so must rely on those smarter than me lol

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes. For a full list of what we're looking for check out https://funisforcasuals.enjin.com .
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.

We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a scrub, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing.
You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights. Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://funisforcasuals.enjin.com/ under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.
If you have any question, feel free to contact E. at DbD#1309
