Warlocks... why... my soul...

12 posts in this topic

I've recently started to gear up my warlock which has been untouched since WOTLK and I CAN'T STOP PLAYING! I've even left my previous realm where my other characters are!

Holy cow, that's some serious stuff! I feel something has changed inside... my soul maybe, I don't know.

I want to master my lock (again) I'm reading guides 24/7, doing raids, being 1st DPS in LFR with 522 gear!

Also I've noticed that warlocks has some unique power to force people to play them, or talk about them. Check out the class forums here :X

Only the mage forum has over 1k replies, but warlocks has over 11k!

I... I think I can't stop playing warlocks now.

I have to change my avatar :x

PS: Let's see if you can figure out what does it mean. Also sorry for the off topic :x

Off topic?  Blasphemy.  Welcome to the dark side, brother/sister.  It's really not our fault that we're unique and awesome.  We deal damage in three, very different ways.  We deliver the largest possible hit in the game as well has being able to beat those pesky Elemental Shamans in AoE.  That was their only niche, and we can crush them.  Healthstones, 1M HP pools, Gateways, portals, ridiculous survivability, and incredible damage make us a staple in any group.

Used to be a running joke in a guild I knew that Warlocks could only be accepted if they could speak Demonic.  I know quite a few bits of tongue here and there, but I really should dive down and learn more.

Also, the Mage forums just don't have the presence we have because their class decisions come between what spec to play.  Our specs have a complexity within in them that just drives conversation and debate.  Not that I have anything against Mages per say...they do give me Crit.  They also fuel me with their tears.

This represents my relationship with every other class. Do they buff me? Great, we'll be on mutually polite terms. If not, do they tank for me or heal me? Great, we'll be on mutually polite terms. Otherwise, why are you here? :D

And now I got green fire! Wiped only twice as a 522 LFR geared lock. Will post some screenshot (since I think everyone does that) once I got a proper transmog!

Now I FEEL COMPLETE!

Btw, Shaza-kiel! means "Surrender your soul!" D:

You and everyone else. Locks are flavor of the expac in MoP. That's why you have 11k replies for warlocks and 1k for mages. Mages didn't get a bunch of new shinies in MoP. And ppl flock to the shinies.

You say that, and yet warlocks have almost always been the least represented class in the game. We're not last now, but we're still in the bottom 5.

We're not much more OP now than we have been in previous tiers.

Did you know that no matter where you look at , locks are still from 3rd to last to last? only monks and rogues are less than warlocks.

The 11k replies is from the community presence, not the state of Warlocks.  I created this class 3 years ago because it was the least played and most complicated to understand.  It's still that way today.  The fact you think that the 11k replies indicates Warlocks are growing in presence means I've done my job here as a community leader.

its probably because most people cant handle the complexity of the class :p
