Normally I don't participate in the "QQ my class is in a bad spot" but after finishing VoH mythic+8 necrotic/raging I'm considering rolling a warrior tank and not looking back. At the very least it means next time I roll necrotic on my mythic keystones I will just sit out that week. Necrotic absolutely breaks blood tanks. The affix completely negates the vast majority of our toolkit, leaving us to take unmitigated, unhealable hits to the face the majority of the time. The only real way I found to deal with it is to hope it tics down to 5s remaining and you can AMS it off, but good luck since it immediately stacks up to 15+, and it just won't work on a boss that doesn't stop for a long time to cast or reposition.
A single mythic+ affix should not flat out negate a tank for a week of play.
Greetings fellow warlocks and theorycrafters, I need your help with something
I recently got the Naraxas Spiked Tongue trinket (840), but I'm not sure its an upgrade.
Heres a link to my armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/magtheridon/Fluxhollow/advanced
Here's a link to the items I'm considering:
http://www.wowhead.com/item=137349/naraxas-spiked-tongue&bonus=1727 (Only does 158,261 proc damage on live it seems)
http://www.wowhead.com/item=134292/nightborne-researchers-phial&bonus=1826 (1073 Int, 882 haste)
Equipping the tongue would drop me ~2% haste, and I'm already sub-30% so I'm not sure if it would be an upgrade.
Which also brings me to my next point. What would be the best way for me to calculate if a trinket with a proc or use effect is an upgrade over raw stats?
Additionally, as you can see on my armory page I have most of the class hall set equipped, and I do have access to the 8-set bonus aswell.
How would be the best way to judge wether going for the 8-set bonus is a dps increase? Similarly, how would I judge whether or not dropping the 6-set bonus is the right move?
Any help or feedback would be very welcome.
850 mark of dargul (932 crit, 419 speed) vs
840 no proc trinket (1,123 agi, 898 mastery)
So, basically, which is better? I'm fairly sure the 840 is stronger, but I haven't used the Mark before, so I don't know how strong/weak the proc is.
(Mark of Dargul for proc reference: http://www.wowhead.com/item=137357/mark-of-dargrul)
Our guild had our first go on EN last night and downed 3 bosses and got in some solid work on the 4th. If anyone has the time and inclination, would you mind having a look at our logs for my performance only, as Shells our Blood DK.
I had a poke around myself and a few things stick out for me. I seemed to be low enough on self heals. I reckon I was overcapping on Bone Shield and rune starving myself for HS to build up RP for DS. (By overcapping I mean I was well over the 5-6 min level needed and could have been wasting charges)
Thanks in advance.
I have been looking around and it seems everyone has come to the conclusion that Strength is the most important stat for Blood DKS. I can't understand the logic behind this and I cant find any details that support this idea. My main 3 heals in recount are Death Strike, Bone Shield, and Blood Shield, all of which are unaffected by Strength. Can someone explain this stat priority to me?
