Balance druid on the beta - dots (1 reply to this topic)

I read the guide you guys wrote about Balance in MoP and I got most of it (5 stars, btw!).

But, the other day I saw this posted on mmoo champion:

Eclipse effect for Solar Eclipse no longer transforms your Moonfire spell into Sunfire, and causing Wrath and Starsurge damage to refresh Sunfire's duration. Lunar Eclipse effect no longer causes Starfire and Starsurge damage to refresh Moonfire's duration.

So what does htis mean? Do our dots still get automatically refreshed? I'm trying to hone my skills for MoP even before it starts, so I'd like to know

Basically they took away Insect Swarm, and "gave" us Sunfire.

Sunfire is now a dot that we can apply whenever we want, just like Moonfire, so in a sense they didn't get rid of any dots.  Just replaced Insect Swarm with Sunfire.

Now, when you crit with Starsurge or wrath, it adds more time to your Sunfire dot, and when you crit with Starsurge or Starfire, you refresh Moonfire's dot.
