Staff vs. main hand/off hand?

I cannot find any data as to which does the most damage.

 

Currently carrying Gaze of Arrogance. How will it stack up against Immaculately Preserved wand with Festering Primordial 

globule? Or should I concentrate on Lever of the Meganotholithic apparatus?

 

I ended Cata with the legendary, but now there is no clear-cut winner.

But in this case yes. MH+OH is better. the question of which OH depends on your other items and spec. (I'm sorry I'm not a mage to remember every members' of our community spec ^^)

The answer in general would be: Do the math by comparing the stats ;)

 

1. Note down all stats for each version (Don't forget to consider enchant, gemming and reforging!!!)

2. Multiply each stat with your spec/build specific weigths. Sum them up.

3. Compare.

Quite often people just stick with their heroic warforged staves from Sha because they are much more plentiful than later weapons.

 

Weapons have so few secondary stats because their budget is tied to spell power. This kind of means, go with the best you can get item level wise.

Yes, I know  need to replace a couple of flex/timeless pieces, but i am limited by my raid group. Still, this gives me higher numbers than LFR spoils wand and Thok off-hand.

Very harsh words and I would like to clarify the statement by saying that we have the "expected" attendance issues that follow the calendar each year, and that none of us (self included, although I am working on it and I see others picking up slack) are ahead-of-the-curve raiders. I did not intend to smear my group.
