Protection 2 Set Worth giving up for Warforge Gear?

Recommended Posts

I just started doing normals/heroics with a guild and was curious if I was in a position to use a warforged shoulder in place of tier token. This week I got quite a few upgrades and warforged gear.  I know the warrior guide for protection on icy suggests to shed the set bonus but was just curious if its too soon for me to do so or should I dive head first.

Shoulder: If I give up shoulders for warforged I lose 2 set. Worth it? I have tier chest but its flex item level therefore I lose a lot by going that route to to retain 2 set.

You should aim for legs and helm for your 2 set pieces. 4 set isn't worthwhile, but 2 set is very good. Once you have helm and legs, I would recommend trading the set shoulders for the warforged ones.

I thought as much at least until Heroic mode at which point it would make more sense on the top end of things to switch over to pure warfroge as it will offer the higher level of stats. This helps clear things up for me. Having not ran into many warforge peices I haven't had to give it much thought but this solves it for me thanks.
