555 Balance druid needs major help in SoO

5 posts in this topic

Hey guys and girls I've started playing wow again after i had some real life issues occur and I managed to find an amazing guild full of very funny and amazing people who brought me into raids, got me geared, and didn't care about how low my dps was going to be. I am very grateful to them for giving me the chance to join their raid team. My current Ilvl is 555 and I have most of my gear upgraded. I'm currently gathering the Titan Runestones but seeing as I am recently back playing WoW and Siege of Orgrimmar has been out for ages now I'm having trouble finding guide's for this raid that are from a Balance Druids point of view. Is kinda heard deciding what abilities I take for what boss, Incarnation or force of nature? and heart of the wild and natures vigil? Also things like on what fights do i just single target the boss and what fights do I multidot? and when should i multidot? what numbers should I be pulling per fight? Basically I went into raids with this guild knowing nothing about SoO so pretty much every little bit of knowledge you can pass my way is greatly appreciated. I have read the tactics of every fight and now I know what to do but that's from a basic point of view and I'd rather have druid specific tactics as I'm the only druid raider in my guild and I know i should be doing better then I actually am I know gear is still a slight issue with my dps but I think not knowing my class fully is the big issue here. thanks to anyone who replies to this msg, I will forever be in you debt.

Hi! Welcome to our little druid circle!

It may be something about the way scaling works at heroic level, but to my knowledge no one is using Force of Nature these days. Even if it's a teeny tiny DPS increase, it adds extra complication to the spec that you simply don't need. As far as HotW/NV, I think HotW is also the talent of choice for just about everything unless you absolutely need the extra cooldown, but again this might be a gear scaling thing where eventually the 6% int outweighs the 12% cooldown.

As far as learning to play the class, for the most part you should be throwing DoTs on everything that lives for more SS procs - even if it's not a kill target you're still going to be increasing your single target DPS by doing so. Read through our thread on improving your DPS and see what you can learn from there.

now ive tried diffrent ways of doing my rotation but i still cant seem to "hold it up" i am high up at start...til like 30-60sec into the fight then i start falling behind:(

So iam willing to give out 1 token to whom ever can give me a reasonable, understandable solution that works for me
(i know i didnt optimize my trueshot, prepots etc etc) But the problem is after trueshot and my troll racial is "over" i start falling:(
this is what i wanna figure out, ive tried to do Aimed and then barrage/windburst etc but i seem to starve on focus, ive tried the 2aimed then some cd's but seems i fall behind on Aimedshot dmg then:(

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/xZf9NW1KV6nyLgXQ#fight=30&type=damage-done&source=153          <----Log of the actuall kill
here i got run over, but still my numbers are abysmal  (7% pref(

here is the same rotation but a wipe  (29% pref)
      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/xZf9NW1KV6nyLgXQ#fight=28&type=damage-done&source=153

another wipe, same rotation but only 9% pref
      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/xZf9NW1KV6nyLgXQ#fight=27&type=damage-done&source=153

So even with the same rotation (atleast i think and feel like i do the same) i can go from 7% pref to 29% pref, i know alot of dmg is RNG but i cant be THAT Unlucky
id say my avg preformance is about 10% so iam not unlucky iam sucky:(
but i need to understand what i need to work on:( rotation i know...but is it as simple as to get the azortian down to the perfection?
cause ive seen other hunters do my "get as many aimedshot as possible into vuln phase" do like 98% pref...but when i do it i fall down to 9.8:)

tnx for any input and help

and ill be more then willing to hand out a token for a guide/suggestion that actually works for me

I really could use some help on my single target DPS. For some reason I can't push my dps over 330-340k over a 4-5 minutes fight.
      My stats:
      Ilvl 880
      Crit: 47%
      Haste: 13%
      Mastery: 14%
      Versatility: 6%

I'm doing the 1, 2, 3, 3, 1, 1, 1 momentum build, and can easily hold the buff going about 55-60% of the fight.
Couple of Ursoc fights mythic logs:
      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/D8k1AyNqfYCV3h4K#fight=2&type=damage-done&source=11      21. November
      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/AQanpPMmtCLVbzXG#fight=2&type=damage-done&source=17    23. November
      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/BybPcXG2Mx47Kd1F#fight=2&type=summary&source=19              30.November

If you look at the last one I did mistakes like not using chaos blades three times, and there was no potion at the end. But momentum had a 61% uptime which I'm happy with. For some reason my chaos strike only had 30% crit, which really affected my dmg output, and even made my throw glaive number 1. I know all the basics of playing this class, but I always feel like there's something missing. Just about 100k dps is missing :P

When I'm practicing VS a dummy I'm doing about 300k DPS after 60 mill of dmg... Isn't that a bit low? And that's when I'm doing everything right, I think...

If anyone can find anything I'm doing wrong I would very much appreciate it! I'm always low on the rankings and it's making me sad :/

Or is it all because of the two legendaries? Belt and the ring?
