using chillblains in pvp

Recommended Posts

s I look over the talent table, I wonder if using chillblains would be effective in slowing the opponents. Asphyxiate is great but just throwing this against the wall, I am considering trying it.

The 3sec immobilize on chains of ice when you use chillblains is really helpful, but the DR ramps up really quick, it's like 3secs, 1 sec, immune.

For an aoe slow in bg's I suppose it could be alright also, but I'd rather have the speed boost for myself most of the time.

In pvp stun is way better 30 second cc for a dk brings a lot more cc for a dk which is where we lack dks atm have no way of sticking on druids/shamans either a grip into a stun is a lot better then a 3 second root of a 30% increase which is negated by earthbind+ghostwolf or feather from a priest etc etc but yeah cc on a 30 second cd +no cost is a lot better then root

The only reason I say Death's Advance is because without it and Pandaren step I have literraly been outrun by the difference in passive speed between me and whoever I'm chasing. Asphyxiate will help against melee, but against casters you still have the silence, which is just as powerful if you're trying to burn a healer.

It depends what you understand by "PVP". In battlegrounds, i belive , chillblains is better. Often you might slow several opponents. In arena fight i d rather use Asphyxiate, since it might be combined with other players crowd control skills as well as other DK cc skills (for example remorseless winter). Best teams in arena i met use total combination of stuns and freezes to keep 1 player away from the battle.
