Interesting guide. Some artifacts remain from cutting and pasting this guide from the windwalker guide. Such as: "As a Windwalker Monk, you will always want to dual-wied." Also, *wield.

lol, thank you for pointing that out. Two-in-one I guess.
You say "some" artifacts. Can you point out the others?
And if I may ask, when you say "Interesting", is there something you disagree with?

Is the Monk class going to be like Death Knight, as in it will automatically start at a certain level (like 80ish) or will anyone wanting to play a Monk have to start all over from level 1?

Monks are NOT part of the Hero Class category, and thus must level from 1.

You have to start from level 1.
Edit: Zagam beat me.

How do you think
Relic of Xuen will compare to other trinkets?

The description for roll is wrong, it does not roll forward but in the direction you are moving. For example, you can backpeddle + roll to roll backwards, or strafe and roll.

I believe the section of taunting the Ox statue is slightly incorrect currently. Taunting your Ox statue forces enemies to attack you, not your statue.
I confirmed this in game and based on the tooltip from wowdb.
If targeting your Statue of the Black Ox, you Provoke all enemies within an 8 yard radius of your statue.

NOT true. If there is no magic damage, the uptime on guard is 100% if used on cooldown. Thus,100% of the Brewmaster's Gift of the Ox self-heals (also healing elixirs, expel harm, zen shpere, etc) are boosted by Guards secondary effect of increasing healing by the Monk by 30%. This is potentially very nice in sustained physical/bleed only fights where the Guard will be quickly consumed.

The text in the guide currently reads "Roll will always send you in the direction that your character is currently moving (including backwards). If your character is stationary, Roll will send you in the direction your character is facing." I don't know how, but you somehow read a version of that sentence that we changed more than a month ago. If it keeps displaying incorrectly for you, let us know.

You are absolutely right. I've made the change and it's going to show up soon. Thanks!

That's a great tip, I hadn't thought of that at all. I've now included this in both the talents and the rotation pages, and it should show up soon

For the enchant section I am unable to put both enchants for boots. The note says both main and extra can be put on at the same time yet I am unable too. Might need a change. Great guide though!

Hi, this guide really helps me a lot with my brewmaster monk. Thx
But I have one question - in gem list is recomended to use yellow socket agi/haste gem ... Can I ask why? Why not use Agi/crit for boost my Guard skill?

Thanks for the awsome post! I would like to contribute for all thouse strugling to find a way to track stagger damage.
I was able to define a condition for Weak Auras and Stagger. I'll leave my String here to anyone who finds it usefull aswell. The amount of Stagger, bar color, time remaining and icon are fully shown on this export:

You will want to change the guide for guard... as it stands it states that all healing an you is increased by 30% when it's only self healing... so expel harm and the gift of the ox minispheres, and any regular spheres that you summon.
Its useful when soloing, or maybe 5mans, but how much are brewmasters really selfhealing in raids?
