[Feral] Help with getting a good gear.

Recommended Posts

Hello guyz,

so am new to wow (I jast started 2 weeks ago) and am playing with my friends (recruit a friend). my friend granted me levels for my "Druid' and now am level 77 but the big problem is that i dont have any gear at all.

since the triple XP boost wont work once we hit 85 , Am currently looting w/e i can find but still my druid is very weak.

I want to ask what would be a good way to get a Pre-Raid gear?

Is there a map or a dungeon that i can grind to get a good gear?

Hello flimboo

First of all you want to reach level 90, as any gear pre-that will be weak. You should go dungeons with your friend and hope to get some rare (blue) items.

If you have no items at all, you could just buy some on AH, or if you have too little gold - go do a couple of quests in Northrend, you'll get some gear.

Also as soon as you reach level 85 you can spend some money and buy gear from pandaria NPC vendors. As I level my alts grinding mobs, I just want to skip as many quests as possible. Due to that some of the first zone npcs are not available for me, so I run straight to Claretta and buy stuff there.

However as this is your first char you'll just want to do quests and save money. First quests are quite easy, you're given a weapon for like doing nothing, and while folowing quest line you'll get geared in no time.

When you reach level 90 go to Timeless isle and search for chests, they will give you tokens for decent gear. There's a guide for that:

http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1328815-In-depth-Timeless-Isle-Hidden-Chest-Guide!

(It includes tomtom waypoints, which is nice).

After getting stuff from timeless you may want to spend some time there, gather 20k timeless coins and buy yourself a weapon. After that you're good to go for some ToT LFRs. If you're lucky enough, after that you'll be able to do SoO LFRs. And from then on you're up to getting better at SoO and going for harder dificulties.

Good luck, and have fun playin :)

What are your overall intentions?

Warlords of Draenor will be released in roughly 2 months.  Sooner then that, 6.0 will be released and the feral spec will be totally different (in terms of gear/gemming).

As Pinkis said, spend most of your time on the Timeless Isle and you will pick up some pre-raid gear.  Start yourself off in a few LFR's and perhaps move onto Flexible raids with friends.

my intentions is to get some good gear so i can level up the extra levels when WoD come out. right now i have nothing at all. the reason that my friends gave me grant level is to have 2 professions so i boosted up. also i started wow 2 months earlier so i can have some time to learn the mechanics of the game.

I just posted 1/2 page & lost it  angry.png

Add me to your battlenet friends: Lunaboreal#1690. I'll help you out getting some gear and be able to carry you through dungeons, raids, and Timeless Isle. As far as dungeons, getting a carry is a definite advantage. The drop rate for agi/leather is horrible, and competition is ridiculous (druids, rogues, monks, hunters, shammies, & ninjas). Getting a carry means you have no competion for the drops, and you get to sell everything & make more gold. Also, if you queue for dungeons you may be kicked for low dps. Many people are leveling alts in full heirloom gear & are OP for their level. People often forget that they are & think you're just bad.

I know all the spots for Pandaria twink gear. My main is a leatherworker on Stormrage. If you happen to be on that server, I can craft gear as well.

If you are simply worried about leveling in WoD, you don't have to exert much effort into getting the best gear available.  The first couple of quests will give you gear that would be equivalent to SoO LFR gear.
