Druid Resources....

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

So i just came back to WoW after a looooooonnnggggg break, and i was wondering, outside of icy veins and MMO-Champion, if there's any druid specific forum or community out there. Kinda like Altered-time for mages for example...

Tyvm in advance,

Ruudo

A lot of us are here becasue of that reason. Not as much around to see outside of old random bloggers. We're here doing the best we can on the forums to get you what you need.

Aside from that: I mostly follow Hamlet on twitter and his blog (http://iam.yellingontheinternet.com). But he mainly only talks about Healers and sometimes Boomkin.

There may be other people that know more than me. Especially for other specs.

I also just remembered The inconspicuous bear that Arielle runs. That's very good Guardian resource.

As Krazy said, Arielle runs a bear-specific site called The Inconspicuous Bear. Right now, they're the top place for bear stuff.

For feral, there's The Fluid Druid. They're kinda the top dog (cat) for feral.

As far as resto and Boomkin go, we're basically it. It's why Krazy and I are working as hard as we are right now in preparation for 6.0 and WoD.

We're also trying to work on getting more feral and Guardian stuff, though largely that's Paloro's area with our mods, and I know he's preparing information, too.

Another vote for http://www.theincbear.com/

It has understandably been pretty quiet there recently, but Arielle wrote pretty consistently throughout all of MoP.  I bounced back and forth between prot warrior and guardian in MoP and that site was a great help whenever I was moving back to the bear.  Useful information, and he is an entertaining writer as well.

We've got resto stuff coming soon. LiSs Anna has done great stuff in the past, but unless there's been any change in the last four months, he hasn't raided resto druid since Cata.

It's not tO slight him as a player, but unless you're going in and playing the spec, there's a limit to how accurate your information can be, especially as a healer when so much is up to preference and experience.

As soon as I finish pushing out the Boomkin guide, I will be redoing my resto guide for WoD, going into the beta to test as much as I can, calculating things through spreadsheet modeling, and using Krazy as an extra source of experience since he's beend doing some playing with it on the beta already.

Okay. She. The point still stands. I started getting into the resto community and writing resto stuff due to the lack of good resources for resto.

If we can find time for it, I'd like to see about starting a weekly Mumble hangout on weekends to chat druid stuff. We had one last year when SoO started for warlocks and it really helped a lot of people.

Wouldn't start until WoD, so we'll see what availability is like.
