Thanks for this great guide!

Found one typo in glyph section: You wrote that the Glyph of Denounce reduces the cooldown of said spell, when in fact it reduces the cast time of denounce.

Thanks for pointing this out. It will be fixed :)

Since we are in much more need to stay stacked on Holy Power now, wonder how viable it would be to throw out some Crusader strikes to keep that pool up?

They increased the cost of Crusader Strike in 6.0 It's worth using, just be cautious of boss mechanics while you're in melee.

I notice the guide says that Sacred Sheild is usable on more than 1 target for holy spec, but the tooltip says the limit is one target. Don't have access to the game to see what the in-game tip says, but I figure one of those two has to be wrong.

Great guid though!

The tooltip is wrong, only Ret and Prot have the 1 target limitation. :)

After healing for a few days, I have gotten the feeling that Hpallies are back to being single target focused healers. Our aoe healing feels low and with the large health pools most situations required single target healing. Since we are now struggling to get heal pools filled and are more single target focused I think that the stat priorities you have are out of balance. I would rate them Int > Crit > Multistrike=Haste > Spirit = Mastery=Versatility. With the reduction of absorbs this xpac I don't feel the strength of stacking mastery that was strong last patch. I think HPallies need more raw healing output and need to focus on single target healing, thoughts?

In that list, the items are just listed in terms of item level. Normally, anything that doesn't apply to the spec shouldn't be there (in this case, I guess it's a bit debatable, what with Judgments and Crusader Strike), but it's not meant to tell you which piece to choose. That's what the very start of the page (where 2 trinkets are recommended) is for.

Even with Judgment and Crusader strike it doesnt proc you must be in a DPS spec but the trinket is still good b/c it still amplifies healing, Thok's Trinket is currently not working, so in my opinion using Siegecrafter, Nazgrims, or Sha's would be BiS

this guide isnt fully updated for 6.0

i only took a very short look and encountered multiple errors.

in the addon section you are mentioning hand of sacrifice, it is gone for holy.

in the stat section you say mastery is our best stat. in fact it might be true for now, as we can spam HR endless, but it lose drastically as we reach 100 and can't obtain this playstay. espacially when we chose the 100 bacons talent.

it is more like crit >= haste >> rest

you also didnt mention haste is reducing the cd of HS wich is. beside HR, our only source for holypower.

Regarding stats, you are right, but the guide is not for level 100, so we are not yet concerned with that. I'm fixing the Hand of Sacrifice oversight now :) Thank you.

So i just had a Question regarding glyphs and talents for the Holy paladin.

I currently Run the talent Sanctified Wrath as well as the glyph of merciful wrath and sence making the change my Healing numbers have skyrocketed changing Avenging Wrath to a more on cd ability rather then a defensive Cd is there particular reason why this is not part of the guide as an option?

As Far as Holy paladin i currently run the Sanctified Wrath Talent along with the Glyph of Merciful Wrath and have seen great improvement in strength of my heals by turning avenging wrath into an on cd ability instead of defensive cd. Is there a reason as to why to is not an option on the guide?

Something that might be worth noting is that Beacon of Insight will bounce back to you if everyone is topped off, and Glyph of Protector of the Innocent will trigger your Beacon of Insight. What this can allow you to do is bounce it between you and the tank without needing to cast a full heal on yourself. You put it on the tank, heal them causing it to bounce to you, cast your WoG/EF on the tank and the glyph will trigger the beacon causing it to bounce back to the tank (assuming everyone is topped off).

Merciful wrath is an extremely useful glyph. Avenging wrath without the glyph is an incredibly strong ability, and it sometimes causes some healing to go to waste. You top everyone off with one holy prism and you sit there with a really strong buff for 15 seconds not doing anything, and when it's off you can struggle to top people back up. In a raid environment it can basically snipe heals, your healing can go through the roof but the healing of your other healers just goes to waste. Merciful wrath redistributes some of this healing, making it a more rounded CD. In general I find merciful wrath to be the more practical choice, however if the fight has insane damage going out, ex: the second last boss in the everbloom when people don't jump, then you may want a full wings.

Given that our glyph chocies are flash of light, hand of sac, protector of the innocent, lay on hands, and merciful wrath, I think merciful wrath is very strong choice for most fights and should probably be included in this guide.

On mythic garry, merciful wrath is the difference between having wings on the first transition, having it up just after the second whirling and having to save it for phase 3 and then having it for the end of phase 4, or just saving it for phase 4, and having wings up for the iron star, the first transition, the first whirling, phase 3, and phase 4. When running the glyph and not running it my HPS was roughly the same, but people were still safe during times when I would have had full wings but had half wings instead, and they were safer during times when I had half wings where I would've had no wings.

It might also be worth noting that if wings ever got nerfed, the usefulness of this glyph would be greatly reduced. The reason merciful wrath is strong is because avenging wrath is sometimes too strong, if avenging wrath were nerfed it's possible that half wings becomes not enough to handle certain levels of outgoing damage.

A few errors that I found:

  • "wow_icon_ability_paladin_blessedmending. Sacred Shield should be kept up with 100% uptime on three targets. Two of the targets should be the current tanks, and the other two... (NOTE: there is only one other target, as SS doesn't have 4 charges)
  • You should always keep up Sacred Shield on two targets that are taking constant damage. This will mostly be the two tanks, but it can very depending on the encounter. (NOTE: Should say "vary" instead of "very")

Also, Denounce no longer has a mana cost, so the following point can change:

Denounce deserves a special mention. This spell can be a useful and much-needed DPS boost during progression content, provided that you can spare the Mana required for it.

I'm struggling quite a bit with stat weights, on the guide it says that haste wins all and you should put haste enchant and gems on all your gear but when I go to Mr. Robot it says I should be using crit enchants and gems?

I've not long been back to the game after a long break so really struggling to get up to speed with things!

Now's the perfect time to unlock your missing Plunderstorm rewards with doubled Renown gains until April 30th!
      (Source)
Hoist the sails and batten the hatches; a Plundersurge begins this week with weekly maintenance!
The Plunderstorm event is ending on April 30, but until then, pirating players can double the amount of Renown earned from all sources of Plunder by taking the Plundersurge.
      Set Sail for the Plunderstorm
Plunge into a challenging battle that earns excellent rewards for World of Warcraft® Modern and Classic progression realms. All you have to do is survive…and plunder. Can't seem to stay in the realm of the living? No problem. Plunderers still gain progression that helps unlock new rewards.
Each match is 10-15 minutes long and has 60 players per match, with the winner being the last one standing. Level up and acquire new abilities and spells by killing creatures and enemies, looting chests, and avoiding the encroaching storm.
      A Pirate's Life for You
The Arathi Highlands is the backdrop for this pirating adventure, and you'll have plenty of challenges to keep you busy.
      Prepare to Plunder
Plunderstorm is perfect for pick-up and play! No expansion purchase is required, but a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time is needed to participate in a high-stakes, play-by-the-seat-your-pants match. This means that Classic players can also participate in a plethora of plundering fun by simply installing the modern (Live) World of Warcraft client:
Launch the Battle.net desktop app. Click the World of Warcraft icon at the top. If the icon is missing, click on All Games and select the game from the list. On top of the Install button is a drop-down menu. Confirm that you wish to install World of Warcraft. Click Install. Once you’re in modern WoW:
Select Plunderstorm2 from the World of Warcraft game menu to get into the action. Create a new, ready-to-play character—player characters are unique to this event. You don't need previous knowledge of races and classes to chart your course for mayhem. Choose between Solo or—to play with your Battle.net friends—make a group from the Plunderstorm character screen and select Duo. If queued for a Duo without a partner, you'll be automatically matched with one. You can also access chat, customize characters, and see the queue from the Character Select Screen. Action Bar and Abilities, Worthy Mates
Discover lootable spells, abilities, and upgrades as you plunder treasure chests and defeat enemies. Upon picking up, spells and abilities are automatically added to your Action Bar, with two slots dedicated to offensive skills and two for utilities such as leaps, speed boosts, and crowd-control.
Some abilities are more action-based and require good positioning and player targeting. Have fun discovering and experimenting with different combinations to find what works for you.
Upgrades to Your Spells and Abilities
Your spells and abilities can be upgraded by discovering higher-quality versions from treasure chests or finding the same ability elsewhere and stacking it to Rank 3 (epic). There are also plenty of plundering opportunities—various treasure chests with different rarities that harbor all types of abilities are stashed around the map. Always stay on the lookout for better loot and upgrades.
      Spectating Spectre
Upon death, keep watching the match from the perspective of your teammates (if they're still alive) or other players, including their loadout.
      Rewards A-Plenty for Plundering Pirates
Players can earn cosmetics, pets, titles, and mounts as they progress through the reward track. These include the majestic Polly Roger parrot mount, Bubbles the crab pet, swashbuckling cosmetics, 750 Trader's Tender from "Keg Leg's Crew" for use on the Trading Post, and more. 3 A victory is not required to claim the spoils of a well-fought fight.
To view Renown and apply the Plunderstorm weapon and transmog customizations, change titles, or summon pets, swabbies can click on Da'kash Grimledger standing directly in front of the spawn point in the Plunderstorm lobby.
Customization unlocks are simultaneously unlocked for Dragonflight characters and can be found in your Collection. Each Renown level unlock is noted in colored text under the reward name, whether the reward is for Dragonflight, Plunderstorm, or Classic.
Perch on the shoulders of this parrot instead of him perching on yours! Proper pirate fashion is a must for plundering! There isn't a better first mate on the high seas than Pirate Pepe! Plunderstorm Content Update Notes
Learn more details about Plunderstorm in our update notes.
We look forward to seeing you drop from the skies to engage in pirate-themed mayhem. We'll see you in Azeroth and wherever the adventure takes you!
1 Requires World of Warcraft® Subscription or Game Time.
2Plunderstorm is accessed from the World of Warcraft® game menu but exists outside of player progression in World of Warcraft® and Wrath of the Lich King Classic™.
3Plunderstorm offers rewards for both World of Warcraft® and Wrath of the Lich King Classic™.

Check out our first look at MoP Remix coming in Patch 10.2.7!
When Patch 10.2.7 goes live, you will be greeted by the following screen, informing you about the MoP Remix event and its objectives. There will be a button that lets you create your Timerunner (character).

Similar to Plunderstorm, there will be an icon on the character screen for MoP Remix with the number of days remaining.

Timerunners will be marked with a special icon next to their name on the character selection screen.

When you first enter the game, you'll start with a short intro quest on the Timeless Shore. Your character will be affected with the Pandaria: Remix buff.

The quest intro features a few unique quests before you start replaying MoP from the very beginning. It introduces you to Bronze, the event's currency used to buy items and upgrade gear.
Throughout your journey you will come across some very unique gear just like this cloak (Cloak of Infinite Potential) that permanently increases in power (Timerunner's Advantage).

Your char will have access to two important Timerunning abilities.
Extract Gem - Extract a gem from one of your socketed items. Unraveling Sands - Summon Unraveling Sands that transforms your unwanted items into Bronze. Gems offer a lot of customization in MoP Remix and you want to extract them with Extract Gem, because placing a new gem on top of a socketed one will make you lose it.
If you come across unneeded gear, you can scrap it for Bronze with Unraveling Sands.

Things seem to be stabilizing a little, at least at the very top, as our DK-Rogue trio remains solid this week. There's plenty of movement below that though, so let's dive in.
Note: We are using Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. The u.gg rankings at the bottom are raw DPS. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it's AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
      Mythic
      Overall Damage 95th Percentile
It seems we have a stable chart at the top, as the DK-Rogue sandwich is exactly where we left them last week! We do see a big mover right after that, however, as Elemental jumps three spots up into 4th, pushing Retribution down one. Fury remains stable in 6th, followed by Frost Mage, which gains a spot at the expense of Outlaw, which is down three. The three A's are still sticking together, with Arms, Assassination and Arcane all moving one up, and the Rogue moving ahead of the Mage at the end of the top 10.

95th percentile Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
It's Survival's week this time around, as the Hunter bursts up nine spots into 7th, with the top 6 remaining the same. Elemental rises here as well in 9th, gaining three spots, as Havoc drops two at the end of the top 10. Marksmanship joins fellow Hunter Beast Mastery in the bottom 3, taking Feral's place.
All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
Unholy moves to the top of the pack in the direct damage charts, just barely taking Subtlety down. Survival makes an appearance here as well, moving six spots up into 6th, as Assassination and Shadow push Balance out of the top 10.
All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Heroic
      Overall Damage All Percentiles

All percentiles Heroic data by Warcraft Logs.

      U.GG Raw Mythic DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This chart is for Mythic only.
Arms is on the way up, gaining three spots in 6th and pushing Havoc down one, as the Fyr'alaths start compounding here as well. Fire moves three up in 9th, as Frost DK drops those same three spots just outside the top 10.
      Mythic chart by u.gg.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for more information you can check out our Dragonflight class guides, Amirdrassil boss guides, the raid DPS tier list, as well as more data from Warcraft Logs here.

As many expected, it seems everyone's favorite farm won't be making it to Remix: Mists of Pandaria, as spotted by TheYamagato.
This makes perfect sense, since it's a limited time event and the farm is a long reputation grind based on daily activities, and just wouldn't really fit with the shorter runtime. The farm itself is still there, but the NPCs that start the quests are not, replaced by the new Timerunning ones.       And so we're going to have to skip the farm when 10.2.7 comes along, but hey, it's still there on regular old retail if you really feel the need!
