Enhancement Shaman 6.2

Recommended Posts

My own

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/drakthul/Derienn/simple

4 piece set bonus

I ran the simulations mainly for single target as that is what I am focusing on.

Also Flame Shock in multitarget scenarios is probably what pushes Mastery ahead?

The DPS per execute is incredibly high.

edit: I see the gaps in my simulations and reasoning. I'm already working on a more detailed spreadsheet with multiple scenarios to analyze the stat weights properly. The question I'd like to answer is whether to treat Mastery as the go to stat or whether to give Multistrike more room as it seems to affect single target the most.

You also need to keep in mind that there will be fluctuations in stats between talent choices and gear levels, but while you can easily change talent between encounters, the vast majority of players is not going to change gear between encounters just to satisfy a stat priority. As you could see in your testing, stats are close in value, so you usually just want to go with items that have the highest item level. So, our stat priority needs to be extremely generic and it is.

"The stat priority for an Enhancement Shaman is:

  1. Agility;
  2. Haste (to about 50%);"

I'm a decently geared Enh shammy (ilvl 682) and avid follower (and promoter of Icy Veins) the fundamental issue I have is how on earth ..... ahem sorry Azeroth  do we Shammies ever get close to having 50% haste lol? I've got a 4 set and play all classes (none I must admit brilliantly) ilvl 682 and my stats fully enchanted for haste are: Haste 20%, Mastery 37%, Crit 19% and Multistrike 11.5%.

If Shammies need 50% Haste or even Haste as their Highest stat how on Azeroth do we achieve this with the gear currently available?

As a footnote this state of affairs would explain the abysmal single target performance of Enhancement shammies ...or am I wrong?

why is it that reactive shielding not worth having? Would assume that 1.5 second LS vs "every few seconds" LS would be more beneficial.

Which characters are used for the stat weights in the guides? The generic profiles from simulationcraft ?

I don't think Purge just sticks to the generic profiles. You could ask him the question on totemspot, if you really wanted an answer.

I don't think it's currently possible to get it only through gear, but the breakpoint is there, so it's important to be aware of it.

Do you often receive melee attacks in a raid?

Why is that hunter trinket one the BiS trinkets for us? I was on vacation for 3 weeks. Did I miss anything?

I'm confused as to where you see a hunte trinket in the BiS list, as the only hunter-only trinket is the Talisman of te Master Tracker, which is the hunter class trinket off of Archimond.

I think he's talking about Mirror of the Blademaster. In this case, this is just a tooltip error on the wowdb side of things.

I saw Voskopoula's post regarding this matter, saying that using Unleash Elements on Flame Shock, then spreading it to additional mobs will, in fact, transfer a buffed Flame shock.  However, the guide shows the following contradictory statements, so I wanted to find out for sure which is true:

~~~
2. Multiple Target Rotation
If the enemies will live long enough for  Flame Shock to deal its full damage, make sure to apply it with Unleash Elements up, so you can spread a buffed Flame Shock with  Lava Lash.
5.4. Multiple Target Rotation Subtleties
As we have already pointed out, if you spread a Flame Shock that has been empowered by  Unleash Flame, it will spread to other targets as a non-empowered Flame Shock (so without the damage buff from Unleash Flame).
You can add Felmouth Frenzy food to this guide. It's a good alternative for a haste food and may be even better.
Will Unleashed Fury beat PE when I get 4 pieces of T18?
And I guess when I get my 4th piece of T18 I will stack MSW to 10 Stacks, use them once so I have 5 Stacks again and then stack it up to 10 again if I dont need 2 Instant LBs to kill a high prio target because Electrocute also does more DMG with each stack of MSW. Am I right?
I forgot to remove that second mention last month. I've removed it now, thanks for the report smile.png
I think I will add it, it seems to sim higher than the rest, but I want to discuss it with Purge first.
For Tier 6 Talents, I found that Elemental Blast is really the best choice for Enhancement Shamans.  I tried all 3 and found this to give me the best results.
Unleashed fury is garbage because I hardly use lightning bolt, I mean that is for elemental shamans, which we are not.
Primal Elementalist is also worthless since I found myself hardly using the two pet elemental totems.  I find that my dps is strong enough where the pet isn't necessary.  For some rares, it was kind of helpful to have some of the aggro off of me, but really it wasn't all that helpful.  And with a 5 min cooldown...it makes this useless.  In Tanaan jungle you run into rares and elite mobs all the time, 5 min cooldown is just lame.
Elemental Blast is awesome  though.  It procs as a free cast quite often so the buff it gives to my stats is almost always up.  You may diasgree, but I found this to benefit my dps the most and it is what I will go with.
Hi, could someone please explain why there is a different rotation for enhancement shamans using Echo of the Elements. If enhancement shamans are never meant to have 2 stacks of either Lava Lash or Stormstrike why should we avoid using the ability with one stack. Using the ability with one stack prevents it from going to two stacks. I don't understand why enhancement shamans would do more damage by prioritizing Frost Shock over a single stack of Lava Lash or Stormstrike. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you smile.png
With shaman class trinket it seems that having the best weapon in MH gives higher simulations result
What benefit is there to having Searing Totem down with 100% uptime? I know that in MoP, the auto attacks buffed Lava Lash, but that passive seems to have been cut? Haven't played my enhancement shaman since SoO.
With T18 bonus, Lightning Bolt has become a large chunk of my output. I've been scouring the internet, but I cannot seem to find an answer to:
What stat increases Lightning Bolt damage? Mastery only?
1. Mastery.
2. Unleashed Fury - Empowers your Unleash Elements,
increasing damage taken by the target from your Lightning Bolt by 30% for 10 sec, and increasing your multistrike chance by 5% for 8 sec.
3. Stormstrike  - Strike an enemy, dealing 649% Physical damage with your main-hand and 649% Physical damage with your off-hand, and granting you an additional 25% chance to critically strike that enemy with your Nature damage spells for 15 sec. (Extra crit chance)
is this still current?
The rotation is wrong. Frost shock is prioritized below using your second echo stacks. You only use it when you have nothing else or you don't have your unleash buff up and are saving your MSW stacks to do a properly empowered LB.   Stat priority for ST is Agi>haste>master>multi(slightly better) and after that who gives a fuck crit/versa don't really do anything special for us.  AOE Master>haste> because flame shock and nova are buffed by mastery and they are your aoe damage.
      Blizzard have shared the current required Mythic+ rating required to get the Dreaming Hero title at the end of Dragonflight Season 3. The official forum thread below will be updated, so check back to see the latest numbers.
      Dreaming Hero (Source)
      In this post, we’ll update the score required to earn the Dreaming Hero title for Dragonflight Season 3. As a reminder, the title will go to all players who end Dragonflight Mythic+ Season 3 with a Mythic+ Rating in the top 0.1% in each region.
      Now's the perfect time to unlock your missing Plunderstorm rewards with doubled Renown gains until April 30th!
      (Source)
      Hoist the sails and batten the hatches; a Plundersurge begins this week with weekly maintenance!
      The Plunderstorm event is ending on April 30, but until then, pirating players can double the amount of Renown earned from all sources of Plunder by taking the Plundersurge.
      Set Sail for the Plunderstorm
      Plunge into a challenging battle that earns excellent rewards for World of Warcraft® Modern and Classic progression realms. All you have to do is survive…and plunder. Can't seem to stay in the realm of the living? No problem. Plunderers still gain progression that helps unlock new rewards.
      Each match is 10-15 minutes long and has 60 players per match, with the winner being the last one standing. Level up and acquire new abilities and spells by killing creatures and enemies, looting chests, and avoiding the encroaching storm.
      A Pirate's Life for You
      The Arathi Highlands is the backdrop for this pirating adventure, and you'll have plenty of challenges to keep you busy.
      Prepare to Plunder
      Plunderstorm is perfect for pick-up and play! No expansion purchase is required, but a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time is needed to participate in a high-stakes, play-by-the-seat-your-pants match. This means that Classic players can also participate in a plethora of plundering fun by simply installing the modern (Live) World of Warcraft client:
      Launch the Battle.net desktop app. Click the World of Warcraft icon at the top. If the icon is missing, click on All Games and select the game from the list. On top of the Install button is a drop-down menu. Confirm that you wish to install World of Warcraft. Click Install. Once you’re in modern WoW:
      Select Plunderstorm2 from the World of Warcraft game menu to get into the action. Create a new, ready-to-play character—player characters are unique to this event. You don't need previous knowledge of races and classes to chart your course for mayhem. Choose between Solo or—to play with your Battle.net friends—make a group from the Plunderstorm character screen and select Duo. If queued for a Duo without a partner, you'll be automatically matched with one. You can also access chat, customize characters, and see the queue from the Character Select Screen. Action Bar and Abilities, Worthy Mates
      Discover lootable spells, abilities, and upgrades as you plunder treasure chests and defeat enemies. Upon picking up, spells and abilities are automatically added to your Action Bar, with two slots dedicated to offensive skills and two for utilities such as leaps, speed boosts, and crowd-control.
      Some abilities are more action-based and require good positioning and player targeting. Have fun discovering and experimenting with different combinations to find what works for you.
      Upgrades to Your Spells and Abilities
      Your spells and abilities can be upgraded by discovering higher-quality versions from treasure chests or finding the same ability elsewhere and stacking it to Rank 3 (epic). There are also plenty of plundering opportunities—various treasure chests with different rarities that harbor all types of abilities are stashed around the map. Always stay on the lookout for better loot and upgrades.
      Spectating Spectre
      Upon death, keep watching the match from the perspective of your teammates (if they're still alive) or other players, including their loadout.
      Rewards A-Plenty for Plundering Pirates
      Players can earn cosmetics, pets, titles, and mounts as they progress through the reward track. These include the majestic Polly Roger parrot mount, Bubbles the crab pet, swashbuckling cosmetics, 750 Trader's Tender from "Keg Leg's Crew" for use on the Trading Post, and more. 3 A victory is not required to claim the spoils of a well-fought fight.
      To view Renown and apply the Plunderstorm weapon and transmog customizations, change titles, or summon pets, swabbies can click on Da'kash Grimledger standing directly in front of the spawn point in the Plunderstorm lobby.
      Customization unlocks are simultaneously unlocked for Dragonflight characters and can be found in your Collection. Each Renown level unlock is noted in colored text under the reward name, whether the reward is for Dragonflight, Plunderstorm, or Classic.
      Check out our first look at MoP Remix coming in Patch 10.2.7!
      When Patch 10.2.7 goes live, you will be greeted by the following screen, informing you about the MoP Remix event and its objectives. There will be a button that lets you create your Timerunner (character).
      Similar to Plunderstorm, there will be an icon on the character screen for MoP Remix with the number of days remaining.
      Timerunners will be marked with a special icon next to their name on the character selection screen.
      When you first enter the game, you'll start with a short intro quest on the Timeless Shore. Your character will be affected with the Pandaria: Remix buff.
      The quest intro features a few unique quests before you start replaying MoP from the very beginning. It introduces you to Bronze, the event's currency used to buy items and upgrade gear.
      Throughout your journey you will come across some very unique gear just like this cloak (Cloak of Infinite Potential) that permanently increases in power (Timerunner's Advantage).
      Your char will have access to two important Timerunning abilities.
      Extract Gem - Extract a gem from one of your socketed items. Unraveling Sands - Summon Unraveling Sands that transforms your unwanted items into Bronze. Gems offer a lot of customization in MoP Remix and you want to extract them with Extract Gem, because placing a new gem on top of a socketed one will make you lose it.
      If you come across unneeded gear, you can scrap it for Bronze with Unraveling Sands.
      Things seem to be stabilizing a little, at least at the very top, as our DK-Rogue trio remains solid this week. There's plenty of movement below that though, so let's dive in.
      Note: We are using Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. The u.gg rankings at the bottom are raw DPS. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it's AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
      Mythic
      Overall Damage 95th Percentile
      It seems we have a stable chart at the top, as the DK-Rogue sandwich is exactly where we left them last week! We do see a big mover right after that, however, as Elemental jumps three spots up into 4th, pushing Retribution down one. Fury remains stable in 6th, followed by Frost Mage, which gains a spot at the expense of Outlaw, which is down three. The three A's are still sticking together, with Arms, Assassination and Arcane all moving one up, and the Rogue moving ahead of the Mage at the end of the top 10.
      95th percentile Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
      It's Survival's week this time around, as the Hunter bursts up nine spots into 7th, with the top 6 remaining the same. Elemental rises here as well in 9th, gaining three spots, as Havoc drops two at the end of the top 10. Marksmanship joins fellow Hunter Beast Mastery in the bottom 3, taking Feral's place.
      All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
      Unholy moves to the top of the pack in the direct damage charts, just barely taking Subtlety down. Survival makes an appearance here as well, moving six spots up into 6th, as Assassination and Shadow push Balance out of the top 10.
      All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Heroic
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
      All percentiles Heroic data by Warcraft Logs.
      U.GG Raw Mythic DPS Rankings
      U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This chart is for Mythic only.
      Arms is on the way up, gaining three spots in 6th and pushing Havoc down one, as the Fyr'alaths start compounding here as well. Fire moves three up in 9th, as Frost DK drops those same three spots just outside the top 10.
      Mythic chart by u.gg.
      Meanwhile, if you're looking for more information you can check out our Dragonflight class guides, Amirdrassil boss guides, the raid DPS tier list, as well as more data from Warcraft Logs here.
