Paloro 39 Report post Posted October 17, 2014 I'm failing to see the point of this? Are you just trying to flex epeen or do you really think this is a viable way to compare yourself against others? Kazistrasz 216 Report post Posted October 17, 2014 There is absolutely no benefit to comparing a single, non-logged parse to another. There's no point in comparing one DPS number to another. There's no point in ever using a target dummy to measure your DPS on an accurate level. If you want to talk shop, snag some logs in a legitimate raid environment with mechanics to hand and avoid and post the logs to be scrutinized. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

A log will provide us with hundreds of things over a single number. How will you begin to improve if I told you I did 20k on a target dummy? You don't know my uptimes, when I'm casting abilities, whether I'm spreading my dots to increase Starsurge procs. These are all things that a log will show us.
