Resto stats in prepatch?

Recommended Posts

I've taken a look around but I can't find much info for this kind of thing. I see Icy Veins has a tentative guide up, but it seems like it's meant for level 100 play. Case in point, it recommends lots of spirit, but my shaman as she is now has to try really, really hard to burn through all her mana. Multistrike obviously isn't prevailant much either, and mastery sounds great in theory, but I have even more of it now than I did before the patch. And I had a lot before.

I need to refine my gemming somewhat for mythic SoO, so can anyone help set my head on straight? Thanks.

edit - oh, and before I forget, thoughts on unleash life right now? It feels good from an efficiency perspective (especially with unleashed fury, but I know we don't likely want to run that), but it feels bad to use when meaningful damage is being tossed around, since it doesn't heal for much on it's own.

So, I have two points to make here.

Firstly, you might notice that our guides don't talk about Level 100 talents, Draenor Perks, and so on. The guide as it is was designed for level 90 play, although when we were going through it we didn't know how high the regen was going to be in 6.0 at level 90 (which is why we recommended full-Spirit).

The whole stat-priority thing has been in flux lately as most people's theorycrafting either isn't finished or is aimed at level 100. Overall, you should be able to choose whatever stat you like in 6.0 and do pretty well! Haste would probably be the best stat in SoO due simply to the damage patterns.

Look out for updates to the Icy Veins guides on WoD's release, when we will be putting out the level 100 guides! :)

Righto. I guess I'll try out regemming for haste and see how that works.

What are your thoughts on unleash life in the current environment?

I haven't tested it on Live, but I wouldn't really bother currently because efficiency isn't an issue. In WoD, I will be using it in anticipation of big single-target spikes.

Nod. That was my thought too but I wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything.

Thanks for the affirmation. Time to get to work on playing with my gear. :)

Oh! One thing. At level 92 or up we get "Enhanced Unleash", which will increase movement speed by 30% for 4sec every time we use Unleash Life. Movement is therefore something I will be using Unleash Life for.

You don't feel having ghost wolf makes that kind of redundant? I mean it's not like unleash is off the GCD. :/

Edit - never mind, I figured it out already. I'm stupid.
