Copeland's Clarity

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if this is going to be dropping anywhere other than as a world drop? Pondering buying it, but I don't want to spend upwards  of 200K on it and then find out it drops from trash in Highmaul on a regular basis.

It just recently got nerfed, as did all those 665 BoE trinkets.  Not sure it's worth 75k, let alone 200k.  It also depends on how accessible Highmaul is for you next week - will your guild clear Normals and Heroics?  Heroics drop 670 gear.  Keep that in mind when purchasing BoEs.

Zagam to the rescue again. Yeah, we'll likely be taking a crack at normals and heroics (mythics unlikely). Think I'll hang on to my money. Thanks!

Mythic won't be open next week.

If your guild was able to kill Garrosh week 1 back in September of 2013 (LOL, so long ago), you should be fine to clear Heroics, given they don't overtune anything.  Personally, I'd hold onto my cash and if you get shit drops, you can fill in gaps as needed to push Mythic.

I mean it's unlikely we'll be doing mythic at all, but I get what you're saying. Not a super hardcore player, if it's going to be useless by the time Blackrock Foundry gets here then I'm not going to spend the money on it.

The Haste proc trinket from Highmaul became a lot more valuable if you plan on maining Demo, as I do.

I've got my 640 Sandman's pouch, should have that upgraded in the next 14 days, and will look to pick up the aforementioned haste proc in our heroic run.

Unless you get a mythic warforged highmaul trinket, you won't replace copelands until mythic foundry, which is a LONG way away.

Worth the investment if you have the gold.

How are you planning on using Sandman's for demo? Just timing it with dark soul and demonbolt fury dump?

Is it that good despite the nerf?

I am not even sure Mythic Highmaul trinkets compete with CC, Its that good. IMO

Only Quiescent Runestone looks remotely good from Highmaul, but at that you have 2 trinket slots.

I dropped the gold first week without thinking twice and have not looked back.  Especially with my luck on Trinket drops and usually still not getting my hands on the current BIS trinket after like 6 weeks of clears.

Picked one up today to get ready for raids. Highmaul trinkets seem like trash, running the 620 PvP trinket in my second slot right now and probably gonna just try and farm conquest to get the 660 version until I can get something in Foundry.

I talked someone down to 107K on my server, couple other guildies got theirs for 100K and 125K. Helps that our guild bank pays for half of approved upgrade purchases before week 1 raids from all our SoO sells...

I think some ppl don't realize that it was massively nerfed, by about 50%, the tooltip for it is incorrect, so it's definitely NOT worth paying the 75k it was going for.

If you see one for around 30k, pick it up, but it will be replaced by highmaul trinkets for sure, will also be outperformed by a fully upgraded dmf.

It got buffed last night.  It's very solid.  Unfortunately on Area 52 US it's also (for whatever reason) really expensive still.

50% is plainly false; the spellpower granted was changed from 1460 to 1200; the crit was just buffed to +300 rather than +200. I do not see why people see it necessary to spew falsehoods about valuable items they covet.

Edit: one's best bets for trinkets are the Primal Gladiator's Insignia of Dominance and Copeland's clarity. The IoD appears to have a 60s ICD with proc duration of 20s (33% uptime). It is 1750 conquest, which is 10 2v2 wins.

Edit 2: before someone complains about PVP gear in PVE, consider that everybody in your raid may now obtain a very good trinket (relatively free of charge at 10 2v2 wins) such that squabbles over trinket allocation may be greatly reduced. This seems universally beneficial, no?

It had exactly 50% of it's on use power subtracted, so don't make claims and call people out if YOU are the one who is misinformed.

They buffed it back up to the numbers that you stated, which they posted about on battle.net ... so it's pretty good again, however it had been drastic nerfed at the time prior to that.

Look, I've been using the trinket since Nov 22 and the SP numbers are the ones I posted (actually it's 1090 SP - was looking at the SP with DI applied); it was reduced from 1460 to 1090 - that has been the only change to the trinket's spellpower. The original spellpower gain would have been 1600 (1460*1.1) and the adjusted gain was 1200 (1090*1.1); I fail to see how this constitutes 50% reduction; a 50% reduction would be to 800 (730*1.1) spellpower (this was never the case!).

Edit: it's 75% of the original value, not 50%.
