AskMrRobot and disc stat prio

3 posts in this topic

I have a question pertaining to the difference between the Icy-vein's stat prio reccomendation for disc priest and the MrRobot default setting for the same spec (See below). As the difference is quite a big one, I'd like to know which one I should follow. Shall I edit weights in AskMrRobot to customize my stats or stick with the robot's default settings? I'd also be very interested in hearing an explanation for this disparity between Icy-Veins and MrRobot. Fyi here is my armory link: which is not up-to-date. My current itlvl is 465. Not sure why the armory is not updating.

Currently, we advise you to follow this stat priority for your Discipline Priest:

  • Intellect;

  • Spirit;

  • Mastery Rating;

  • Haste Rating;

  • Critical Strike Rating.
PvE: Default Build

Spirit > Crit > Mastery > Haste

The default weights are based off of Mr. Robot's Priest spreadsheet and theoretical calculations. As actual raid parse data becomes available there will be multiple presets for different raid sizes and healing strategies. These weights will be good *generic* weights to start MoP with.

Now, we have the same priority for Discipline Priests Posted Image (although we do give two different priorities) It always takes a while to harmonise these things, especially for healers because you don't necessarily want to go for stats that give you the most throughput but rather make a compromise between throughput and precision/control.

      Critical Strike: 27%
      Haste: 33%
      Mastery: 29%
      I'm using "Legacy of the Void."
      Any stats I should bring up or lower in relation to each other?

      Title. Wasn't sure if it changes how good crit is or if it's still mastery > crit

      Celestial Being is recruiting to round out our mythic roster. The core of our team has Mythic experience including top 50 US experience. Mythic experience is preferred, along with current logs. We raid on a brief schedule and expect people prepared to progress.
      Current Needs:
      Priest - All Specs
      Shaman - Elemental/Enhancement
      Druid - Feral
      Paladin - Ret
      Exceptional players of all classes will be considered, feel free to discuss.
      Please contact for more information.

      Nothing To Lose is recruiting exceptional players for Mythic Emerald Nightmare and Legion progression.
      Raid times are 7-11pm Central Standard Time on Wednesday and Friday nights.

      We are mainly interested in Ranged DPS at the moment, however
      we are always willing to accept talented and experienced raiders.
      The following classes would be highly preferred:
      -Mage (Fire)
      -Priest (Shadow)
      -Druid (Balance)

      For Mythic content, we expect our raiders to be consistent both in their attendance and performance. We are a generally laid back and sarcastic crowd, but our 20 spots will be filled by those who:
      -Show up on time with full consumables
      -Know the ins and outs of their class
      -Know the boss mechanics
      -Push their numbers to highest possible in their spec.

      <NTL> has been on Cho'Gall since the Burning Crusade, and we intend to be around through Legion and beyond. Join us for some !@#$-talking, meter-whoring, and good old-fashioned purps.

      The easiest way to apply is to contact myself (GM) directly via PM or in-game mail.

      Hello.  So far, this expansion has been a lot of fun =)  I'm making an attempt to do this expansion on Disc again, even though it's so different than the shield generator builds I've loved in the past (RIP spirit shell.)
      I'm not quite happy with my performance however.  I provide roughly 2/3 of the healing my allies put out, and 1/3 the damage that my DPS allies put out.  That's enough to make me squarely average, and I want to do better.
      I'm Zetajezu in these logs.  This is a parse of Yesterday's, and Tonight's raids.  My talents stayed the same both days.  Any advice would be welcome =D
