Highmaul heroic optimal 10 man raid comp

5 posts in this topic

Getting into this and im a little behind so some help is appreciated.

In a 10 man scenario how many healers should you have for highmaul heroics? Is it 3 or 2? Is this different based on the boss? Appreciate any feedback currently we are running with a 10 core and might expand to around 14 which would change this number.

If anyone has some generalizations of how many healers per amount of raiders that would also be awesome.

I don't think there is any fixed number / ratio. It is going to vary on number of factors including fight, healer skill, gear, ability to avoid avoidable damage etc. Have some hybrid dps/healer classes in your comp to have the flexibility to switch either way as needed

As a ten man group you need to give yourself flexibilty. Many of the fright are two healable but some fights are better with three for example I think Blackenspore is probably easier with three since you can keep mushrooms up longer which means more overall dos for the raid. I would say have people who can perform more than one roll to give youself some flexability.

Two healers might be OK for Kargath, Twins, and Tectus, if they're good. But for the other fights I think you'd want three. Ideally it's nice if you can bring someone who is able to switch specs mid-raid, but failing that I think you'd want to go 2/3/7.

Kargath: 2 healers easy

Butcher: 3 healers

Bracken: 3 healers

Tectus: 2 decent healers, if your healers lack go 3 to be safe. (last phases are painful)

Twins: 2 healers if your group is good at standing out of fire, otherwise 3 until this is better.

Ko'ragh: 3 definitely 3.

Imperator: 3 as well, this is a healer check fight(as in how well healers can manage mana and keep raid alive) so as many healers as you can get without losing too much DPS is good.
But if you don't have that flexible raider who can both heal and DPS at a strong level then just 3-heal everything.
