Shadow WA: What to track?

3 posts in this topic

Guys, lately I've restarted working on my 90 SPriest, after putting my Rogue on 100. I ended up using Carrn's WA strings to track some important stuff and that helped me by a lot (thanks Carrn).

Comes out that I wanna tailor my own WA for my SPriest. Thing is, what should I be tracking? So far I've written down those ones - note that I'm going for a PvP oriented SPriest:

Shadow Orbs (works just like Combo Points, so I've nailed it already)

Psychic Scream

Psychic Horror

VT and SW:P

I'm currently having trouble on how to track Shadowfiend's duration. If anyone could give me pointers on how I should write this, it'd be highly appreciated.

Should I be tracking something else or this is just fine?

My appologies, I can't be much help on this, but I can't help but ask.  Why would you want to track shadowfiend's duration?  I think I can say that for 99% of pve spriests, shadowfiend is fire and forget.

Eh, good point. I have a small tendency on tracking things to not lose control of them. >->

      ABOUT US
We are a very social guild LFM for progression/semi-casual raiding and leveling.
When we say "semi-casual," we mean that we raid two days for three hours, can laugh about a wipe but are still serious about progression. We plan to do Normal raids (not for long) before going on to Heroic and Mythic.
New players and all levels welcomed. We are VERY new player and new role friendly and have a few new players in the raid group already. We will work with you and get you trained up. So don't worry!
We do have some PvPers and an experienced RBG leader so PvP isn't out of the question.
We're almost always on Discord and we joke around a lot. Some jokes aren't appropriate so keep that in mind. (Recommended 18+)
Currently we are using the EPGP system ( The addon EPGP (DKP Reloaded), EPGP Lootmaster, DBM, and GTFO are required to be downloaded and kept up-to-date on raid nights.
Fridays & Sundays 8pm - 11pm PST. (10pm - 1am Server Time.) NOTE: Flasks, foods, potions, and enchants will be provided for raiders on a first-come first-serve basis. People who contribute to the guild bank will also have preference. Guild repairs provided on raid nights. Trials will be provided with the aforementioned items if we can spare them after the main raiders. CURRENT PROGRESSION

I'm using "Legacy of the Void."
Any stats I should bring up or lower in relation to each other?

Say I walk into the Eye of Azshara and 6 NPCs are pulled, as a Shadow Priest, what exactly do I do? Do I tab through them all and DoT them all up, then Mind Sear them? Do I just dot 2 or 3 of them, followed by a Mind Sear. Do I even dot any of them and just Mind Sear?
I hope someone can give me a clear and concise explanation of how such AOE would be executed.
      Would be helpful!

<Garden> is 1/7M, and is looking for a skilled resto shaman, resto druid, and shadow priest for mythic progression. We are always accepting applications from skilled players of any class. We are a relatively laid back raiding guild, raiding twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 830est-1130est. We request our raiders to be online 15 minutes before raid, and some nights we will raid past raid time to secure a kill. Visit "" for more information.
If you have any questions feel free to message me in-game at; Collybuds#1702 or just submit an application on the guild website which will be reviewed.

      About us

<Moist> is a guild that strives to push progression with a very short raid week. We expect our top raiders to know the insides and outs of their class and come to raid prepared. With a 9 hour raid week we expect everyone to play the best to their ability. Outside of raid nights we have plenty of activities happening ranging from alt runs, mount runs to other games outside of WoW such as League of Legends, HoTs, Hearthstone, and random steam games just to name a few.

      What we expect from you:
      A reasonable level of dedication
      The ability to take criticism
The ability to learn from your mistakes
      Something, something sense of humor

      What to expect from us:
      Friendly environment
People to laugh, and have fun with
      Progress oriented raid nights
Optional non-raid-night activities (mog and mount runs, BGs, Arenas)

We are currently using Personal Loot. So far everyone really seems to be enjoying it. There is a lot less drama with Personal Loot than the normal Master loot most guilds do.

If you're interested in learning more about us or applying to the guild please apply at - Click on the Recruitment tab on the menu bar. If you have any questions please feel free to message us in game or post below.
