The Basics of Stats for Fury Warrior

Fury Warriors primarily value item level for Strength, followed by Haste and Mastery, though the value of each may shift depending on your gear level. By the time you have reached moderate gear levels, the stat priority for Fury Warriors should be:

The stat priority for Fury Warrior is:

  1. Strength;
  2.
  3. Haste;
  4.
  5. Mastery;
  6.
  7. Versatility.
  8.
  9. Critical Strike;

At the highest level of gear, these stats will shift further due to diminishing returns on the most stacked stats, though there is a point where you simply cannot get more of one stat without giving up a large portion of another. This is why traditional stat weights compared to one point of strength are a difficult tool to utilize and it is recommended that players regularly sim their own gear upgrades instead.

While you can use these weights to math out the value and compare individual items by hand, in-game addons such as Pawn will do so automatically.

Getting a Better Understanding

Statistics

Strength is your primary stat, found on plate armor, weapons, and trinkets. It provides Attack Power, which contributes to the damage of all abilities and auto-attacks.

Haste compresses the rotation, reducing the global cooldown, the time between the auto-attack swings, and the cooldown of the rotational abilities Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst, Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow, and Execute Icon Execute, as well as the speed at which Bladestorm Icon Bladestorm and Rampage Icon Rampage deal damage. While Enrage uptime is much higher in Dragonflight than it was in Shadowlands, Haste remains a strong stat simply due to the increased action frequency and reduction of rotational cooldowns like Bloodthirst and Raging Blow.

Mastery increases the damage bonus provided by Mastery: Unshackled Fury Icon Mastery: Unshackled Fury boosting all damage dealt while Enrage Icon Enrage is active.

Critical Strikes deal double damage, although Fury does not generate extra Rage on Critical Strike, the way Arms does. This leaves the value of Critical Strike somewhat low, although builds using Cold Steel, Hot Blood Icon Cold Steel, Hot Blood or Elysian Might Icon Elysian Might will still find value in it, particularly when highly geared to the point where Haste and Mastery begin to suffer diminishing returns.

Versatility provides a flat increase to damage dealt and reduces damage taken by half as much. Direct damage trinkets, cantrip items like Fyr'alath the Dreamrender Icon Fyr'alath the Dreamrender, and other outside sources of damage value versatility further due to typically not scaling with attack power. Because Season 4 features several of these items, the stats value climbs dramatically as more are collected.

Breakpoints

Fury is primarily a Haste-driven specialization, enhancing the amount it gains natively through Enrage Icon Enrage alone. Although it can have a large number of breakpoints, it remains one of Fury's most important secondary stats since more Haste increases the pace of the rotation, equating to more Rage, damage, and Enrage uptime.

Racial bonuses have, as a whole, very minimal impact for Fury; anything within 1% of one another is typically considered trivial, and a small enough margin that our recommendation is to simply play what you enjoy the most.
